I can hardly see the screen, I am welling up so much. This is truly a sad day for music.
The Everlys came from an era when three minutes was all that was needed to get the message across. And they sure got the messages across, in the most melodious, refined and direct way.
When their two heads came together behind the microphone, something very special happened. Their music always touched my heart.
Rock solid musicians, from a rock solid musical background.
    Gutted. Totally gutted.

Great , great comment. All one has to do is really listen to the music, and reflect on how important it was to us as we grew through those early years. I seen the Everly Brothers do a show in East San Jose I think in 1964, I was 21 at the time it was Thanksgiving night and we were Bowling and they asked us if we would like to see the Everly Brothers the answer was hell yes. It was at La Bues Plaza at Story and White Road. They played in the Monkey Bar. Great Show I think they were just starting out then after Chet Atkins gave then the thumbs up.

The Everly Brothers helped me write out a scene in my book of the song, “Let It Be Me”, where a young couple fall deeply in love on the dance floor, the feel of that song inspired it. Now “Crying In The Rain” will inspire me to write out the feeling I want to add when her young love died. Can’t wait to finish my second book. Their songs can touch you deep with so much feeling as I write.
