Cool video Richard glad harvest going well Phil is well tuned in to how the combine functions I take it your dad is like my own he prefers the cattle to machinery work👍
Rape sample not too bad, always looks worse on the heap. A little bit of rubbish helps the tonnage. Load it on the lorry on a breezy day and a lot of it will disappear. Not sure what Claas recommend, but I always found with Masseys you need a lot more wind than you think. You tend to think small seed, not too much wind, but rape is relatively heavy for its size, so I used to get it to blow out the back and then just back it off a little. 2 vids in one day, you'll be making Ollyblogs jealous.
I wouldn't say your sample was bad, it's actually pretty good, the rubbish always sits in lines on the surface of the heap, it's impossible to get perfect sample with OSR.
Since March in my area Cambridgeshire since March 2mm of rain we are light red land here people finished havist or close t9 finish not even in August!!!
Great video Richard there’s a lovely note from the engine in the combine
Great video Richard 👌
A lot round our way round up has taken a long time to work
the later you apply roundup, the worse it works, but you get better yield because of a longer grain fill. depends whats more important to you
nice to see harvest going well
That Lexion is a hell of a smart looking machine pal. 👍🇬🇧

Hi Richard we used to just put on a pod sealant much better yield but we could be cutting rape at end of August at 20 percent

Richard how come you still got Manitou? I thought you traded it for the JCB ?
No we got the jcb to take some of the workload off the manitou because the old claas is not up for hard graft anymore 👍
@@philatdovefarms5854 thanks Phil 👍🏻
The table looked OK but I would have folded the dividers in.
It's nothing you have done wrong with the round up the green stalks are a problem in Norfolk this year seems like the round up haven't worked
