This is why I like Rafa and Roger, they have a strong rivalry, every match they play is always exciting, and there is never any hate between them. This is a rivalry at its best, when you can beat each other on court and still come out as friends off the court.

It's particularly special watching them together at this point of theyr careers. And after a tough year for both of them, reflecting on theyr matches. And all in celebration of a Rafa's new tennis academmy.

It's amazing watching this after today's AO final! Roger said, "I hope we have a few left" (sunday meetings), and indeed, they had another one! I was rooting for Roger, and Rafa proved that he is classy in not just victory, but in losing. Two great champions, and the two greatest ambassadors of the game, it's a privilege to watch them.

And thats why djokovic will never be like these two.Roger and rafa talk real and are honest.Djokovic seems to be a little fake all the time..

I totally agree. As much as I admire Djokovic achievement on the court I don't hold him as high asteem as these two.

@@jeanniemotherof3 love to see what you think of this comment now... only player that can consistently beat fed and Nadal, in their primes, on any surface, is djoke.

I’ve heard some Djokovic fans say the same about these guys. I think our own bias affects how we see these sportsmen. Nole as a tennis player is phenomenal. & I don’t know the guy personally but he doesn’t strike me as particularly fake.... he often seems quite open and honest in press conferences. I do think he often comes across as careful in speaking, trying to find the exact way to express his thoughts. Maybe that’s what some people see as “fake”. A Serbian guy told me he seems more natural when speaking his native language than in English. (He is extremely articulate in English but some people even if they’re fluent, just sound more “formal “ in a 2nd (or 3rd, 4th etc.) language.)

10:34 It even looks like Roger is wiping away a tear after he hears Rafa say he prefers the ocean and can't see himself leaving Mallorca. 😥

Thanks for posting this. Nadal has been my favourite for 11 years but I believe Federer is the best male player I have ever seen. Their comments were very insightful concerning their playing relationship. They know and accept how unique their battles were and as a fan I always felt grateful, intrigued and entertained watching them. Now I'm glad that Nadal has made such a great investment in the future of tennis.

wat i like at this two real champions is that even if they are worst enemy in the tennis court they get over it outside of the tennis court, realizing this is good not only for them but also for sports.

hililala321 Rafa was remembering the two Match points Roger had in the fifth set of the 2006 Rome Final, so the swiss Maestro reacts in that funny way

Is it just me or do these two look a lot leaner than they used to? Especially noticed at the Australian open in the final definetly Roger looks a lot thinner and slimmer. They used to be bulkier.

Pleasz tell me if I am wrong. I wanted to share with you some events and the way I behave when I faced them. As I was working at the top management floor, in a company in the chemical field, near Paris, I heard that a man died. I went to the assistant's office which was at less than two meters from mine and told her about the bad news.
She answered me that I have been employed because I am a pretty woman. She told me that I should stay closer to the assistant of our building and not to the people working on the mass-market products. She added that they have the most famost perfumers in the world. She managed to get her position in the company, by...I did not want to hear more. I was shocked. I thought I was in a nightmare.
I went to the 7th floor to look at the women and realized that they were quite pretty.
When I went back to my office, I could not work very well. This is a kind of things that some people can notice.
The person I was working with asked me if I do not have self-esteem. I just wanted to leave the company right away. I did not ask to stay, as a lot of them, as the new assistant of our department. They let her leave even if they needed someone.
They did not let me leave the company. The Human Resources Manager (It's hard for me to write this word "Human" when I am thinking of the way they are dealing with people) came to my office with a new contract to keep on working at the top management floor. A few minutes earlier, my boss told me that he knew a lot of people working in the perfumery field. The way he told me so, sounds like a dangerous threat.
I signed the contract and I felt that my health was getting worse day after day.
I ask for help Inside the company. The person in charge of representing employees, told me that in the fact, she only sold tickets for cultural things. I went to the doctor. They saw the urgency for me to leave the company.
The company denied their responsibility in my disease for which I get a name later , even if the managing director assistant, has also developped a disease. She suffered a cancer, I think or Something like this. I saw her collapsing on the desk after a phone call and one of her friend confirms me that she was suffering.
They even accused me to lead a campaign to run down the company which was totally false. I had never denigrated my former employers.
From the date I left the company, my life and those of my family turns into a nightmare. I have been blacklisted, so that I could not find another job, nor a training.
I wanted to tell you all these events because I think a lot of people want things to change and realised that their health is important, life is important. Every life matters. The one of this man, like all others.
