While Tsukasa is exaggerated sometimes, I think people really underestimate how powerful a world trained martial artist is. A Taekwondo master can literally break through a solid wall with a kick, and a master boxer can kill most humans/animals with one solid punch to the head.

That seems to be a pretty common thing, since some stuff that the comments of the Overlord episodes, which they watched the Japanese version of, mentioned that the stuff cut stuff that I remember being explained in the dub.
"Slow and steady wins the race." I'd have gone with 'Slow and steady revives the human race', just to be clever, but I suppose that wouldn't have matched the lip flaps.

The apocalypse was fictional and the characters are exaggerated, especially Senku’s knowledge base, but the science is real. The author has a science consultant to keep things realistic. My favorite thing is Senku has base knowledge but rarely gets things right on the first time due to his lack of experience. He has to try and try again until he figures out how to do things.

Kinda prefer the sub to the dub, especially in Gen's case, since i really don't like how he sounds in english... Although i give them props for actually including his particular way of speaking, which is something the subs don't do (i guess its because of how fast the subs change and the time people need to read them? Idk)

I also got into this right around the time I was deep into Primitive Technology here on TH-cam so there's that. I don't know if you guys reacted to any of Primitive Technology's videos, but I think they would pair really well with this series.

Sry guys, but i am gonna drop this right here, 3 minutes in. (yeah i know, noone cares, so don't bother replying if you don't care). They have made it abundantly clear in these first minutes that most people aren't able to stay concious for long after turning into stone and they literally showed you how it's possible to end up in a different place than where you were the moment you got turned into stone. Yet some/all of you didn't get either, so before i am going to facepalm myself to death in the future i wish you a lot of fun because the show is awesome, but this reaction is not for me.
@Haku infinite Taiju says he feels that it will "suck him in" if he don't stay focused (at least in the sub), and Senku made it clear that repetitively he almost lose consciousness in that state (he said every 800000 seconds or so, that's like 9-10 days). So it's implied that you have to do an effort all the time to stay conscious, and over 3700 years it's safe to assume that most people lost consciousness already. Best case scenario with every 10 days you have to fight it 135050 times for 3700 years, even for something easy to do by doing it so many time you would be tired and annoyed of doing it and would like to just let yourself lose consciousness to stop doing it, and we're talking about an effort similar to trying to stay awake when your eyes close by themselves. So, nothing says they are the only ones doing it, but they are exceptions still, especially when taking into account the psychology theory of learned helplessness, where confronted repetitively to unpredictable and uncontrollable events you just become less and less able to cope with future ones. Even in some weak types of narcolepsy where you can still try to stay awake you can bet that people affected by this illness stop trying after a while, and then we almost don't see the difference with the other types where they sleep all the time, I think it's a good parallel.

A lot of the stuff in the show is pretty realistic but they fudge a lot in terms of how much time things take which makes sense for a show
