I posted a video of this riff awhile ago so I thought “why not do the whole song?”
The Taxpayers are a great band by the way.
I know my singing is a little rough in this video
(and by “rough” I mean it’s pretty bad)
note that I haven’t practiced singing in a while
hopefully my bad vocals just add to the charm of the song
as well as the pile of random crap on my bed

I’ve been playing guitar for about 4 years and it’s nice to see someone just having fun with their instrument even if they have some minor mistakes and putting it out in the internet. You’re definitely an inspiration for me now

At first I was thinking like: "wow that's a bad cover" because of the mistakes she made, but you're right. All the best for the musician.
@Sylvee Music Honestly 20 years guitar and I spent the first 10 desperately trying to make it sound like the originals. Now I make it mine, minor changes, things that sound better to my ear and what not. Don't be afraid to color outside the lines, you might discover it sounds better than the original. It's amazing how mistakes can lead to innovations. I bet she's killing this song now.
Nothing fancy, nothing extravagant.. Just a genuine voice singing a genuine song, coming from a genuine heart.

lol i don’t have confidence. I never sing around other people, I record these videos when no one else is home because I feel like people will judge my singing. trust me your not alone when it comes to not feeling confident.

i found a tab on ultimate guitar tabs! i can also try to explain it you you though. basically you have your 3rd and 4th finger on the 2nd and 3rd strings on the 5th fret. then you walk down the 6th string starting on the 5th fret and sometimes you play the open note in between notes. i hope this helped!

God Ive only been learning guitar for about a month and it’s crazy for me seeing people do stuff like this. Do you self teach or like have actual lessons? Not to pry but ive been trying to get better at playing and I was wondering if you had any tips on stuff like that. Amazing song btw
Ty so much! I took lessons for quite a while but recently stopped. However i did learn this song myself. Lessons can be helpful but they're not for everyone. You can definitely learn stuff on your own just as easily. There's a lot of great resources on the internet like ultimate guitar tabs and youtube tutorials. If you have enough motivation you can get pretty far on your own but for some people it's more helpful to take lessons. It really just depends on the person. Good luck!
@@sylveemusic9739 Thanks a lot! You’re definitely right about online resources, ultimate guitar and songsterr have definitely been a huge help. I might think about buying a method book or something however, to make sure i dont make any mistakes thatll affect my long term playing . Currently i think im close to being able to play the entirety of the seven nation army by the white stripes but with more time and practice i really hope i can get to the level where im able to play songs like this one as confidently as you.
