Another no nonsense build which I really enjoyed thank you. I watched your Tamiya Chieftain build series in 1/35 from a few years ago and used a lot of your techniques to build mine. I was really pleased with it (I didn’t drop mine though) and I like the background music. Good job - cheers!
Looks like I have to add some Arma Hobbies kits to my stash, I am really impressed how crisp and detailed the moulding of this Wildcat is, given the small scale.
All of the 1/72 Arma kits I've seen have been really impressive for such a small scale. I've only got one myself, but I'll be getting more once I work my stash down to a more reasonable level
Niestety nie mam osobnego pokoju na hobby więc nie mam możliwości zamontowania porządnego wyciągu. Jednak zawsze zakładam profesjonalną maskę z filtrami węglowymi (nic a nic nie czuć) i majsterkuję gdy inni domownicy śpią w swoich pokojach.

Yet you choose not to follow modellers of your level and start weathering the plane, may I ask why? Personally the gloss finish ‘straight out the showroom’ look appeals very much. Your approach to panel lines is different and certainly appears to work very well. I note you build ‘parked’ rather than inflight any reason? Kindest Bob England
You asked some good questions, mate. I had to think a little before answering (good questions do that to you ;)) - weathering - I just don't like the weathered look on the plane. I live among airplanes all my life (my father was in Polish Air Force) and the airplanes I ever saw were ALWAYS clean and tidy. I guess it was different with WW2 planes in the middle of the improvised airstrip but again, all the WW2 and WW1 airplanes I saw were in the museum - clean and tidy. Those facts shaped my image of a real airplane I want to depict in my miniatures. - The gloss finish of this particular model - I don't know. I just liked it the way it was after applying the wash. I felt that applying a satin varnish (which I planned) will make the model look worse, not better. What do you mean by "your approach to panel lines is different"? Applying light panel lines to a dark (almost black) airplane is not my invention ;) - I don't make the "flying" version of airplane models because I can watch them more frequently on the airfield (especially up close) than in the sky. And... making a flying plane is way easier than "parked" one - no landing gear, a closed canopy, no open hatches or panels. I don't like to take the easy way.

This will be your diorama, you can apply a hello kitty sign on whatever if you wish ;) Some people forget this is just a hobby and the modeller chooses the level of historical accuracy that he likes.
Kilka razy z ciekawości zapisywałem to sobie i zwykle wychodziło mi około 30-35 wieczorów pracy nad modelem. Czasami taki wieczór to 1-2 godziny innym razem pół godziny, różnie.
Na szybko przejrzałem instrukcję do tego modelu Tamki o którym wspomniałeś (polecam scalemates.com) i tam producent poleca kolor AS-8 Tamki. To jest o wiele jaśniejsza barwa (mój Wildcat jest bardzo ciemny, prawie czarny). Odpowiednikiem AS-8 z palet Hataki wydaje się być Hataka C274 Cobalt Blue, ale za to nie dam sobie obciąć ręki, musisz sam poszukać. Są też dedykowane zestawy barw do samolotów US Navy z czasów 2WŚ na przykład Hataka albo Vallejo.
Mógłbyś podzielić się informacją jak stosujesz Hataka Red Line? Ostatnio kupiłem kilka farbek, ale mam z nimi duży problem bo bardzo szybko robi się skrzep farby na igle aerografu. Czasami malowanie wręcz było nie możliwe bo co 10 sekund musiałem przemywać igłę :/
Przyznam się szczerze, że tą farbę Hataka w wersji Red Line kupiłem przez przypadek, miała być Orange Line pod aerograf ;) No ale całkiem normalnie mi się malowało tą farbą, jako rozcieńczalnika użyłem X-20A Tamki, rozcieńczałem mocno bo lubię nakładać barwę powoli i może dlatego nie zapychało dyszy aerografu.l
Ponieważ tak się robi black basing - technikę którą lubię i którą wybrałem do mojego modelu. Model niby w ciemnym malowaniu ale podkład nie był czarny, nałożyłem sporo białej farby robiąc marmurek. Gdybym użył białego podkładu i może zrobił pre-shading na liniach podziału na czarno to efekt w mojej opinii nie wyglądałby równie dobrze. W jednym się jednak z Tobą zgodzę - czepiasz się ;)

Yep, I wish all 1:72 scale models were that precise.

Currently building Tamiya 1/48 - this is almost identical at smaller scale.
Well, if the original airplane is the same, then the model sets will be designed similarily.
Sorry, point I was trying to make is that the detail level is identical to 1:48 from older kits.
That was also my impression. If every model in 1:72 were that detailed, I wouldn't have the need to build bigger ones.

Tak, od dłuższego czasu używam tego zwykłego płynu do kalek Tamki. Nawet dokupiłem drugi bo mi się skończył. Nie zaobserwowałem żadnych problemów.

Jakiej nitki uzywasz do naciagow? Klej CA plynny, sredni czy gesty?

Nitka to "Uschi van der Rosten - Standard" a klej średni.
Używasz aerografu na lajcie w domu w pokoju? Chodzi mi o opary.
Niestety nie mam osobnego pokoju na hobby więc nie mam możliwości zamontowania porządnego wyciągu.
Jednak zawsze zakładam profesjonalną maskę z filtrami węglowymi (nic a nic nie czuć) i majsterkuję gdy inni domownicy śpią w swoich pokojach.
