how did you get -22.....you didn't even state the direction in which current was flowing in the 22v but you assumed it was flowing the opposite direction
Initially, we assume the conventional flow of current, which means that current flows from the positive terminal of the voltage source with our reference to be the 15v, hence current i flows in the clockwise direction. In effect current i enters the + of 22v and leaves from it's - terminal. One's current leaves the - terminal of 22v the 22v is regarded as negative when we want to find the total source voltage.
