Candied Watermelon Rind Recipe.
1. Begin by preparing several pieces of watermelon rind. Scrape off the outer skin.
2. Cut the rind into blocks initially.Then, slice those blocks into strips.
3. Place the strips in a bowl and evenly sprinkle sugar 100g over them.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
4. The next day, separate the fruit water from the rind.Allow the loofah leather to dry and set it aside.
5. In a pot, add sugar and heat it until it melts.Continue to stir until it forms a large bubble.
After about 8 minutes, small, dense bubbles should appear.
Turn off the heat and let it cool 5 minutes.
6. Add the watermelon peel to the pot and continue to stir slowly on low heat. Be patient during this step.
Keep stirring until the sugar liquid becomes sticky.
At this point, you can turn off the heat and continue to stir until it forms a thick coating.
Your sweet and chewy watermelon peel with sugary coating is now ready to be enjoyed.
