- India electrifying the entire network
- India connecting Kashmere with the rest of India
- dedicated freight corridor in India: only place with double deck container transport under electric wires
- introducing automatic couplers for freight transport in the EU plus Switzerland (over 50 years behind Russia and USA)
- connecting Italy via extremely long new alpine tunnels with France and Central Europe
- Japanese maglev line
- in China an 123 km underwater tunnel connecting Dalian and Yantai: The Bohai Strait Tunnel or Dalian-Yantai Tunnel
- connecting African nations with regular gauge lines
- connecting Atlantic and Pacific in South America
- high performance railway system for Indonesia
and the most challenging project: making German railways punctual again
