First 3 hp games were massive sellers i cannot imagine them making a shitty port on purpose. The largest difference is not only poly count but textures.. In ps2 there are prerendered baked textures imitating lights on the pc there are tiled small chunks. I guess the pc s back then Kinda sucked for gaming hah.

On GBA it was a turn based RPG, It´s actually inspired by a GameBoy Advance game called Golden Sun that was popular at the time. On consoles it was a 3D Zelda clone. On PC it was an open world adventure game, with platforming, puzzle solving and shooting it kind of feels like 2000´s Tomb Raider. I´d say that if you are a Harry Potter fan you should try any version or maybe the version whose core gameplay appeals the most to you.
Fun fact the gba version also had a new game + which was very rare at that time with the new game +you could carry over your levels spells and wizard cards not only that you can also go back to certain areas to get the wizard cards that you had to miss when switching characters
The GBA version was made by the same people who made the Gameboy Color versions of Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets, that were also RPG's, and there's even a debug mode with the GBC Harry Potter sprite.
Your opinion is biased as hell. The Xbox has exactly the same gameplay as the PS2 but slightly better graphic and lightning. This is probably due to your obsession with the PS2.
The console versions were so much more authentic towards the vibe of the movie in my opinion. Sadly, I only own the PC versions but remember enjoying to watch my best friend play the PS2 version. There is some nostalgia to the PC versions, but they do not have the same cinematic quality during gameplay and cutscenes as console, when comparing the dementor scenes and supposedly scary creatures you have to fight.

The rendering of the PC version is obviously sharper but look so flat. There is zero atmospheric/ambiant lighting. Console versions looks more "cinematic" With emulation, you can now make the console versions to look way better than PC by increasing internal resolution, add texture filtering, etc.

I grew up with the Ps2 version of the game. And while it's not as good as Chamber of Secrets it's still way better than the PC version. Infact I've almost always preferred console versions to the PC variants when it comes to the Harry potter games. Prisoner of Azkaban especially as it took me barely 5 hours to 100% the PC game. Now I admit I did play the PC game at the age of 25, well past the recommended age but I have a feeling that even as a 12/13 year old I would've cleared the PC game far faster than it's superior console variant.

you must have a xbox 360 that doesn't have full backwards compatibility unfortunately. You have to buy the right xbox 360 to play every og xbox game. Usually the newer models work
My favourite is the PS2 version. It's definitely superior compared to PC. PC ports were shit back in the day (often still are now lol) and for some reason it feels more like a platformer while PS2 really engaged you in a great story

The GBA version is just a "sequel" to GBC version which utilise RPG style gameplay. I like all version because of their unique gameplay but I prefer more PC and GBA version.
PC is the worst version?! It has awful lighting, has the worst effects, is on UE like the older games (the older games on PC were decent but they were their own thing, this one seems unnecessary, it's so similar to the console versions they could have just ported the xbox version), has worse models, worse animations, less content, less variety of environments.
The pc version is a completely different version. It is much better too. I will not speak on the technical side, but in terms of the type of villains I see better than the rest of the copies 🙂✌ pc win this time
GBA - Interesting version of the game. Xbox - Best graphics for a console. PC - The game looking at it's best! best version of the game. PS2 - Doesn't even bother. Worst version of the game.

Because keybord and mouse... Controllers on pc was not officialy supported until 2007

The one i like the GBA version is it follows the book more closely. Things that were cut out of the movie are in there.
