You’re very welcome! Make sure you use only a 3/32” Allen wrench to get the screws out of the cover plate. When I took mine off the first time they were extremely tight. I tried using a metric Allen wrench and it wasn’t fitting right and I almost stripped out the screw heads. If you use an exact size you’ll be good.

I’ve only got about 100 rounds through the pistol so it’s hard to say. That and I am not the worlds best pistol shooter so it’s hard to say if the POI shifting is due to the sight moving or my horrible trigger pulls. 😂 that being said the sight fights snugly on the frame, like it was made to fit there. I don’t think it’s going to move.

Optic cutout on sig slides have a slight dovetail to help with centering but I suggest pushing the optic forward towards the ejection port prior to tightening the mounting screws due to inertia force from the slide reciprocating.

I am in a military service that uses iron sighted M-18s and I have not heard anyone tell me there has been an issue with the rear sight coming off. As you can see from my video, there are two screws holding the rear sight on this model and they have blue Loktite on them and I don’t foresee them going anywhere. All the same if you put this RDS on the pistol you’ll get the rear sight integrally added that way.

It’s my first red dot ever and I probably paid way too much but I’m a SIG snob until I die!

With this pistol and sight combo it is impossible to leave the rear sight on. The screws that hold them to the slide don’t go through the Romeo X, it covers them over. Check the video to see what I mean. The Romeo X has iron sights integrated into it.

I agree with you 100%. When he told me to leave them on, I was like what? It interferes with my line of sight @@SoCalPlaneSpotter
