I don't know why, but I have the Expert II LX in the 24 inch edition - and my USB port got broken the same way! Now I am looking for an alternative and I think that COM-to-USB adapter option is the perfect way! Does it take more time to get recognized by the cutter? Or can't you feel any time difference between Serial Port and USB? Thank you!
@@synergy17llc Do you have an idea what it could be if the cutter starts cutting bulbs inside of the corners of my vector graphics? Lines aren't straight anymore, it looks like curves inside the corners?!
@@AnotherKentPaul it could be the offset of the blade. If the offset doesn’t match the manufacturer’s specifications, it will either be sharp or rounded.
Hi, I found the driver and followed your instructions. But instead of working when I press test cutter it just crashes Easy cut? Have you any idea? What I could try next? I've already removed and reinstalled it.
Who makes easy cut? I’m not familiar with that software, but after installing the drivers, for the Serial to USB cable, did you go into easy cut and update the settings to the new com port?
@@synergy17llc yes I did. I placed in the boxes. PE, USB and it said, serial port usb com 3. It didn't work. And the software seems to be crashing. ( It has to be forced to close. Did I pick the wrong driver to install? Thanks for your help
I have a US CUTTER MH 721 and I bought a USB to RS-232 Serial Adapter but it’s still not cutting. I have the VinylMaster software . Any other suggestions
I don't have that cutter. Maybe it's a setting or the baud rate you need to configure to send the data to the cutter. Some serial port devices have a baud rate of 115200. Check the spec of the cutter.
Can you recommend a parallel to usb converter for a GCC panther grc-76S that works with windows 10? The cord I have doesn’t work. When I plug it in the device manager does not refresh like yours does. It only says standard serial over bluetooth link (com5) and (com 4) im so lost. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Tammy, which model is that? I can't find the Panther GRC-76S. Is that an older model? Does that model only have a Parallel port and not a serial port?
@@synergy17llc i actually got it to work after ordering a usb to serial instead of parallel. I hit cut and the plotter starts running but then stops and the screen reads communication error.

It recognizes it immediately, but not sure if jobs take any longer to send via serial vs usb.
