    I think that the basket with lemons and oranges you got from the guy in Marina di Ragusa perfecly reflects the most genuine generosity that is typical of the purest and best Sicilians.

    I just came across this channel and already started to like it. There are not many videos about travelling with Ape in English, they're mostly in German, so this is a really nice find. My youngest daughter and her boyfriend are planning a scooter trip around Sicily next summer, so this series will be kind of an educational "where to go and what to do" thing, lol.
    Greetings from snowy Scandinavia!! ✌

    Fantastic camera work Luke! And its so fun to see how our American music is appreciated here...living on the north coast you are enticing me to explore the southern side, sooner than later!

    Love the episode. But damn 'rete di posa' that the fisher man is using as its killing our biodiversity in the sea.

    Great series. Brings back a lot of wonderful memories from my time on Sicily. Really enjoyed this video as Marina D' (Ragusa) was one of the beaches that we frequented, along with Scoglitti and Punta Braccetto where all the hot houses are. Excited to see Pozzallo!

    I've spent a total of 5 weeks in Marina di Ragusa; 3 weeks in Sept 2017 then 2 weeks in Sept 2018. It's by far my favorite place on Sicily. Thank you for sharing! This brings back some great memories, and reminds me that I need to go back!

      OK, and those guys playing cards on the beach by the cannon? They were there every single afternoon when I was there.

    • @LukeRenard

      That’s awesome! Definitely one of the great places in Sicily and since you like Marina di Ragusa you should also consider the Aeolian Islands on your next trip :)

      One of the gentlemen playing cards made a hand gesture that I recall my grandfather constantly making. That was over 70 years ago.

    Thank you for another wonderful episode!!! Question----how did you know that camping was permitted in the places where you set up tent? Or are Sicilians not so concerned about this?

    • @LukeRenard
      @LukeRenard  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cheers for following along! :) camping wise it just depends on the area.. most of the island has different campsites that are easy to find online and usually have really good facilities. I recommend camping along the north coast and the west coast because there is much smaller populations and so the camping is more rural and wild if that makes sense.
