  • Hey Guys and girls so after walking miles to this deserted place in the middle of nowhere to find this place was completely empty, makes me wonder was the family pushed out of their home. Just a few personal belonging that is actually left behind.
I am going to work and try to discover why this place is left like this.
What really happened here were they forced to leave, only a few personal items left behind, it really is in the middle of no where.

You got a remember for those of us around the rest of the world like me in Michigan we have a hard time finding things 150 years old. So just seeing the old structure still standing absolutely amazing.!!

This was nice and peaceful but the house was built so weird. The drone shots were stunning. I don't think I could live so far away from normal civilization. I think the newspaper under the wall paper was for extra insulation since most houses didn't have heat or they just had fire places. The last room was definitely my favorite. I loved the dresser with the rotating mirror and the baby stroller. I absolutely love antique baby stuff. Another fabulous explore Dave and Mark!!

Great to see you and Mark out together exploring again. It's Spring and lambing season, so lovely to see so many lambs.
The reason they used newspaper to line the walls in the old days and even today when restoring houses is 1. Isolation. 2. Wallpaper was very expensive and wallpaper lining even more so, by using newspaper first it gave the expensive wallpaper something to stick to. Also a lot if houses used reversed wallpaper as White Ceiling paper too as thus was even more expensive than wallpaper. Thanks for showing the Royal pram, you pushed the handle back over the hood at the top to make it easier to put the baby in the pram then pulled the handle back to the bottom of the pram to push it. It would have been very cosy and homely in it's day but very isolated. Cheers.

Hi guys, firstly, fantastic location. What a gorgeous old place! You asked why newspaper was used under wallpaper? Smoothing the finish, Reducing Shrinkage, Reducing Staining, and more durability. I guess they didn't have proper lining paper back in the day so they used what they could - I hope that helps. At 13:05 one of the residents says something, not sure what, maybe 'ah'. I used to have an old pram like that but it was green. It was old when I used it as a baby. Thanks, lads xxx

Love the drone shots an the country side views. I bet it was so peaceful to live there. You know the newer homes built wouldn't last that long. Thanks Dave and Mark 🙂👍

Dave, this just breaks my heart that no one would try to save this house. 💔 🥰🥰🗽🗽🇺🇸🇺🇸

13:45 That bathtub looks so narrow at the bottom, wouldn’t fit my arse in there! 😅 Also, I don’t know why it made me smile at the beginning of your video when you used the word “ribcaged” as a verb (the animal’s been ribcaged) 😆 Great explore guys 👏😍
