Awesom hunt!! My mom got drawn for either sex moose this year and I'm so excited to help her!! Her second hunt ever and I swear I'm gonna call in a big burly pair of antlers for her! ♥♥♥ Greetings from Saskatchewan!
Amazing shot. My uncle in Maine told me, “you can’t eat antlers boy.” That was after I tried explaining Boone and Crockett to him after I confused the dress weight of 2 whitetail bucks he had mounted with rack score.
Sorry for the stupid and amateurish question. I have always been interested in numbers and statistics, this case is no exception, but what has always interested me in bear hunting is how many shots it usually takes to kill a bear, this applies to the hunting scenario and in self-defense. For example, I have 10mm, as I know in Alaska it is quite often worn as an effective means of protection from a bear. So, there is some data on this subject, because I often heard monstrous stories where the bear lacked a couple of hits from a rifle and because of this there were accidents, I’m generally silent about the gun, cases of ineffective crossbows - defenses with them are quite frequent. On the other hand, I have seen mind-blowing stories where some old man with a 22lr rifle killed a large 400 kg grizzly bear, 3 more bullets in the chest killed a black American bear on the spot with a 9mm. You can somehow give your comment on this question, sorry if mine seems silly to you, I really don't know anything about hunting, except for the experience from Far Cry 3)
If you watch our videos you will see that usually one shot with a gun or bow should put a bear down if they are hit in the right spot. If a bad shot is made then it will take more than one shot. Any where that we have hunted it is illegal to kill a big game animal with a 22lr. That is too small of a caliber for big game animals. Hope this helps
@canadaintheroughtv I am interested in hunting for large bull Elk in Northern Saskatchewan, Northern Alberta, or British Columbia. Any recommendations? I was told Saskatchewan have large Whitetail Bucks.
“Coolers full” I like that. Thanks for making the harvest of meat important👍
It’s super important to us
Beautiful country! Exciting hunt. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it

@@canadaintheroughtv Да, вопрос более чем удовлетворительный, благодарю за помощь.
Caliber please..or maybe I missed it..I know you guys used 30-06 and 300 win mag right?
Yes we do. This was 30-06
@@canadaintheroughtv thank you 😊
I’ve been saying that for years. You can’t eat horns.
True that
what kind of game call is that? sounds awesome!
Good shot Placement!! What caliber you use? 🙂
30-06
@@canadaintheroughtv 180-grain bullet?
@@canadaintheroughtv I figured that by how far the animal ran 😞
Yes correct
The caliber in the video cant be 30-06 as the action is in S size so the lenght of 308 win caliber or similar@@canadaintheroughtv
Great Video! Coming from the western NL always good to see the healthy bull moose on the landscape.
Thanks!
