I feel like I'm half-Slytherin and half-Ravenclaw. I'm not nearly as ambitious as a Slytherin, but I am not opposed to doing whatever it takes to win... Within reason. Now I'd say Gryffindor and Slytherin and Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw are powerful pairings. Bravery and craftiness, and intellect and loyalty. Whoever meets one of them is either going to get messed up, or have a fiercely loyal friend who is spooky smart.

The trophy was a portkey so anyone's touch would've activated it so Harry had to get there first, hence why cedric got attacked just before he could reach the cup however he didn't think about Harry's selflessness and bravery.

I love the friendship between a Ravenclaw and a Slytherin. I'm not a total superstitious person who judges people by their hogwarts houses lol. But I just realised that all my friends are Ravenclaw or Slytherin. I'm Ravenclaw by the way. Sometimes Ravenclaws may find Slytherins toxic or Slytherins may find Ravenclaws boring or careless, but in the end of the day they are really good friends. Because they have similar perceptions, they have the best fun together and intelligence combined with confidence is actually very scary sooo people watch urselves haha
I try not to be judgemental of Slytherins as a hufflepuff, but i find myself judgemental of ravenclaws, most characters i hate are ravenclaws, quirrel, lockhart, cho chang, trelawney, moaning myrtle etc

As a Slytherin who secretly wants to be a Ravenclaw, this is something I totally would do. Or I don't know, climb or levitate so I can take a look around with a better perspective.
I would have liked HP more if Ron, Harry & Hermione were all different houses but ended up working together by "fate". It would have been interesting to see them make friends in their own houses at the start but gradually lose them as the 3 of them grew closer and became outcasts because of it, but develop greater strength and friendship as a trio. We could have learned more about thr Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw houses, which would have been nice.
A Slytherin-Ravenclaw main duo could probably solve most of the problems Harry deals with. Like, they wouldn't have forgotten most of the things Harry and/or Ron forgot (or more rarely Hermione), for example the invisibility cloak in book 1 with Norbert. That and the sass would have been great
Unless one of the two is harry they wouldn't need to deal with norbert or the invisibiluty cloak since that happened because harry was gifted the cloak and because he was friend with hagrid, so it would happen regardless of his house. Most likely scenario is after the over the top punishment in the forbidden forest, drago spills the beans about what happened. So, a slytherin and ravenclaw duo would start to investigate. Since they're actually smart, once they undercovered the plot, they don't rush in themselves once they learn dumbledore isn't here, instead they warn snape and other professors, and they should be enough to deal with it without requiring bullshit love power. Then, year 2 onwards, they would realize harry is a magnet for issues and backsit all his adventures to make sure things are fine. Thanks to the slytherin, they could perhaps access tge chamber of secrets, or maybe they see that ginny is weird so they deal with her and give the diary to the authorities before closing the chamber. In book 3, nothing school threatening happens, only some harry drama, so unless harry is one of the two, they wouldn't need to do anything. Book 4, since they need to be harry's age to be present for all school years (or at most 1 year older since year 7 doesn't happen), they can't participate, unless again harry is one of them. So they investigate the trials instead and find the best solutions, as well as investigating the suspicious maugrey. Book 5, they join the army of dumbledore and participate to the battle. Book 6, unless harry is one of them, there really isn't anything they can do in regards to the horcruxe hunt. But they could prevent drag's plot and thus preventing dumbledore's defeat by drago. He will still die because of the lake's water, but the elder wand will now be useless. Book 7, they join harry and crew on their adventures, and since they are smart, they avoid most of the mistakes the crew originally made. The slytherin could especially coming in clutch and recognizing the dark effect of the horcruxe, preventing it from causing drama. Then, the end is mostly still the same, except maybe with less casualties since without drago's plot hogwarts wouldn't fall under voldemort's rule for the final year

This was an awesome read, perhaps you may consider writing a fanfic about an alternate universe where Harry befriends other houses to make the trio rather than his own house and the sheer impact it would have on the wizarding world?
@@enderthefox2093 thanks! People usually don't take the time read my what if stories comments. I think many of the plot happens because of who harry is as a person, his personality and who his parents are, instead of based on what house he chose and who his friends are (as long as he has a smart frield and a friend from a sorcerer family, it doesn't really matter too much who they are as long as they're willing to follow him) so I'd probably have to re read the series to find significant changes to make to the story. The things Ican think of from the top of my head is harry having less of a grudge against snape if he has a slytherin friend. Maybe he could get inside info on the death eaters with a slytherin friend. With a ravenclaw friend, the horcruxe hunt could be easier since they have a lot of knowledge. And drago's plan is likely stopped early since harry could more easily spy on him. With a bit of a stretch, I could see him hanging around with a slytherin make him more cautious of the cup in book 4, thus preventing voldemort's return. But if that still happens, then I do think no matter what house he's in or who are his friends, harry will still stand up to voldemort and voldemort will lose because the power of love is stronger

I would argue though that the Harry Snape grudge would still happen because of James and how much he looks like him but maybe it would be less intense with a Slytherin to sort of be the middle ground

I love the friendship between a Ravenclaw and a Slytherin. I'm not a total superstitious person who judges people by their hogwarts houses lol. But I just realised that all my friends are Ravenclaw or Slytherin. I'm Ravenclaw by the way. Sometimes Ravenclaws may find Slytherins toxic or Slytherins may find Ravenclaws boring or careless, but in the end of the day they are really good friends. Because they have similar perceptions, they have the best fun together and intelligence combined with confidence is actually very scary sooo people watch urselves haha
I try not to be judgemental of Slytherins as a hufflepuff, but i find myself judgemental of ravenclaws, most characters i hate are ravenclaws, quirrel, lockhart, cho chang, trelawney, moaning myrtle etc

I would have liked HP more if Ron, Harry & Hermione were all different houses but ended up working together by "fate".
It would have been interesting to see them make friends in their own houses at the start but gradually lose them as the 3 of them grew closer and became outcasts because of it, but develop greater strength and friendship as a trio.
We could have learned more about thr Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw houses, which would have been nice.

A Slytherin-Ravenclaw main duo could probably solve most of the problems Harry deals with. Like, they wouldn't have forgotten most of the things Harry and/or Ron forgot (or more rarely Hermione), for example the invisibility cloak in book 1 with Norbert. That and the sass would have been great
Unless one of the two is harry they wouldn't need to deal with norbert or the invisibiluty cloak since that happened because harry was gifted the cloak and because he was friend with hagrid, so it would happen regardless of his house.
Most likely scenario is after the over the top punishment in the forbidden forest, drago spills the beans about what happened. So, a slytherin and ravenclaw duo would start to investigate. Since they're actually smart, once they undercovered the plot, they don't rush in themselves once they learn dumbledore isn't here, instead they warn snape and other professors, and they should be enough to deal with it without requiring bullshit love power. Then, year 2 onwards, they would realize harry is a magnet for issues and backsit all his adventures to make sure things are fine. Thanks to the slytherin, they could perhaps access tge chamber of secrets, or maybe they see that ginny is weird so they deal with her and give the diary to the authorities before closing the chamber. In book 3, nothing school threatening happens, only some harry drama, so unless harry is one of the two, they wouldn't need to do anything. Book 4, since they need to be harry's age to be present for all school years (or at most 1 year older since year 7 doesn't happen), they can't participate, unless again harry is one of them. So they investigate the trials instead and find the best solutions, as well as investigating the suspicious maugrey. Book 5, they join the army of dumbledore and participate to the battle. Book 6, unless harry is one of them, there really isn't anything they can do in regards to the horcruxe hunt. But they could prevent drag's plot and thus preventing dumbledore's defeat by drago. He will still die because of the lake's water, but the elder wand will now be useless. Book 7, they join harry and crew on their adventures, and since they are smart, they avoid most of the mistakes the crew originally made. The slytherin could especially coming in clutch and recognizing the dark effect of the horcruxe, preventing it from causing drama. Then, the end is mostly still the same, except maybe with less casualties since without drago's plot hogwarts wouldn't fall under voldemort's rule for the final year
@@docomega7862 the amount of time and effort and thinking you must have put into this comment is truly beautiful, I didn't even consider that Harry would have to be part of the duo (or a new trio) for the pair to even get dragged into his adventures! This was an awesome read, perhaps you may consider writing a fanfic about an alternate universe where Harry befriends other houses to make the trio rather than his own house and the sheer impact it would have on the wizarding world?
@@enderthefox2093 thanks! People usually don't take the time read my what if stories comments. I think many of the plot happens because of who harry is as a person, his personality and who his parents are, instead of based on what house he chose and who his friends are (as long as he has a smart frield and a friend from a sorcerer family, it doesn't really matter too much who they are as long as they're willing to follow him) so I'd probably have to re read the series to find significant changes to make to the story. The things Ican think of from the top of my head is harry having less of a grudge against snape if he has a slytherin friend. Maybe he could get inside info on the death eaters with a slytherin friend. With a ravenclaw friend, the horcruxe hunt could be easier since they have a lot of knowledge. And drago's plan is likely stopped early since harry could more easily spy on him. With a bit of a stretch, I could see him hanging around with a slytherin make him more cautious of the cup in book 4, thus preventing voldemort's return. But if that still happens, then I do think no matter what house he's in or who are his friends, harry will still stand up to voldemort and voldemort will lose because the power of love is stronger
@@docomega7862 I would seriously read a what if fic if you write one, you're thinking of things not a lot of people would consider. I would argue though that the Harry Snape grudge would still happen because of James and how much he looks like him but maybe it would be less intense with a Slytherin to sort of be the middle ground

However, I'm not good at writing dialogues, so I'll try to make it still entertaining. I'll let you know where to find it when it's done
