Even now those who list homes say they don't want to be relocated at another place as their life is tied to tea estate and tea factory. I wonder why can't the plantation authorities provide transport to these workers when ITcompanies provide transport to employees to travel from one end of the city to another/or opposite end sometimes covering sometimes upto 20 km even while picking other employees on the way.
True.. people do not want to open their eyes to the reality that we need to adapt to nature's ways and it doesn't happen the other way around. Nature has it's purposes in everything that we may never comprehend. So it's better to evaluate the risks of residing in areas that are potentially disastrous. It's common sense that gravity will bring down anything, whether it's rock, soil or water, downhill from top of mountain ranges. Why risk your life? It's my pure assumption (I hope someone should research this) that areas that get deforested will attract more rain as nature intends to recreate the forest by drenching the soil of entire area. So that moisture percolates the layers of soil promoting growth of plants and trees in the entire region. That may be the reason for the excessive rain on this area. Cities like Chennai and Bangalore getting floods is for this same reason. Same with Wayanad. Unfortunately, people lost their lives in this process is a heartbreaking tragedy. I hope we need to learn from our mistakes and become smarter in adapting with nature.

Now these sharks are buying land in Karnataka Kabini, kodagu, and coastal Karnataka and constructing illegal resorts and hotels.
