For most artist , to put out one song like this might be considered a lifetime achievement , Neil has a wagon load of these , and sometimes it takes a Horse to pull that wagon .
You can talk about Dylan and Springsteen and McCartney and Elton John all you want but Neil Young is the best musician today and has been for the last 50 plus years He keeps reinventing himself and goes from acoustic to electric like no one else This version of 'Eldorado' is much better than the version on the 'Eldorado' ep or 'Freedom' album
Summer of love I was 13 heard down by the river, Neil hasn't been far from me since(as it were). The man can tell a story screech his git-fiddol ride with the Horse &the rest is history. Long live Neil & the Horse!!!
Don't forget Ralph "Poncho" Sampedro's rhythm guitar. It provides the perfect framework for Neil's powerful playing. Crazy Horse's Talbot and Molina locks in the beat and the Horse takes off. Gives me the shivers.
@@izzetmustafa9898 Hi Izzet. Only one Neil. Tried playing Greendale the other day but I just seem to struggle with it. Downloading album "Time Fades Away" via TH-cam as Neil has frustratingly never released it on CD in the UK. Such an underrated album. Stay safe and well my friend.

I enjoyed the rehearsal that’s also on here. It’s a Buffalo Springfield reunion rehearsal and you can see this song take shape and a great interplay between Neil and Stephen Stills. Interesting story on there too.
sono Italiano , ho ormai 50anni ed è da 40 anni che ascolto e Amo la sua musica infatti lui è mr. Soul , lui è il solitario ! lui è mr. Neil Young YEAAHHH -
I had to come back for another listen. I love the arangement of intruments here. Love the rhythm guitar work. Adds an entire demension that the version I have up on my channel doesn't have. This is my favorite version. Hey but neil is Neil and 99% of the music he does is off the charts. A cherished gift to the world he is. ~cg
Already two great tracks I know of conceived around this time - Eldorado and Interstate. That Life album is already great but could have been twice as great. Anyway, the songs have made it onto the albums, so I am happy about that.
What a great tune ...Played accoustic on mini album Eldorado thats the songs official name it came out around 1989 after he toured with his band at the time called The Restless. The mini album 5 tracks was only released in Australia origionally because allegedly Neil Youngs record company did not like his really heavy sound he started to experiment with and the album he gave them called Times Square.which had all the Eldorado tunes plus others on it .They were mistaken though
I had the thrill of turning the views to 227 THOUSAND. BEST VERSION. HE HAS A CORVETTE? COOL. WHATEVER CAR ANYONE HAS.-- COOL. He goes deep. Like MR. D Highest praise I can offer. Love love love
Changed info for this song. You're right, it cant be 1991. Dont remember, from which compilation i got the recording, but I just took the existing labeling. Which turned out to be wrong ;). Well, this still doestn turn this gem into BS. ;)
This was a time when Neil Young was getting into using effects to get the raw edges of notes that his remarkable sense of melody is looking for. Even as I write this observation, it's about 4:00 or so, and he's illustrating what I was trying to convey. This is what Wittgenstein was (jokingly, at least partially to me) referring when he wrote, "What cannot be expressed in words must be passed over." Thanks for the wings, Neil.
Road Of Plenty should have made it on the "Life" Album in 1987 but did not. The tune emerged then on 'Freedom' in 1989 as Eldorado with differing words. On Road of Plenty the 5th & 6th verses became the 2nd & 4th verses in Eldorado. I prefer the more dramatic musical in Eldorado however both are great songs. Thanks BrokenArrow24 for uploading these rare tunes.
love the freedom version. this is great too. amazing how nielistic he is when transforming. such fun creative genius. nihilistique. i think the lyrics on the orig are more succinct and powerful. the music more precise. both are good to dance to or jam with or just dream and pretend your niel. fred neal

Neil Young is the finest guitar, composer, and performing music star of both the 20th and 21st century.
He's dirty , clean, and everything in between!

Yes. Obviously. What's your point?
Also, you forgot "lyricist".

He's not as good as buckethead
Entièrement d'accord avec vous.
I cannot understand how someone can listen to this song and not consider Neil Young an absolute genuis
Not too many pieces of live music have this kind of sexy, angry fire... I am very grateful to have found this here on YT....

Sorry. You are right. I was thinking of drummer Ralph Molina.
Very interesting performance of Eldorado song. Fresh, nervous, rocky. Crazy Horse at the best !
God love the horse!
Crazy Horse is Neil's Muse!!
The most important musician ever lived. Period.
I might also throw in J.S. Bach

I love some of these bootleg live versions of some of his songs better than the official studio releases
Indeed, like "Campaigner" on "Days of gold and roses, Live in Tejas".
They always are better than the studio versions.
True that. I've always loved neil better live. You never know how it's going to be played. It changes every time.
Ya THINK?!

Mr. Young, thanks for your music!!!

Buffalo Springfield? Was this a reformed version or does this song date back to the 60s?
