my mother passed away over 20 years ago, she was an amazing pianist. I try listening to various pianists at youtube to find an artist who puts their soul into the songs the way my mother did. you are the ONLY pianist I have found who is truly doing so. you are feeling the song, and it comes through so beautifully!!! thank you so much for sharing your work!!!
Well, I love the way you did this. Whenever I listen to you, my eyes always tear up. The story that you added was so interesting, and the piece is definitely indicative of a "melancholic, lonely walk in the moonlight."
what a wonderful interpretation, and the fact that you looked so immeresed in your craft while you were playing this piece made it that much more sublime thanks for such heart-warming experience . greetings all the way from India.
Thank you very much for your message, the audience was very keen and attentive, they did the whole musical trip with me, thanks to them it was really easy to letting go and immersed into this beautiful Debussy. I wish you a beautiful spring. With my best regards. Stéphanie.
I am overjoyed at the public response Stephanie Elbaz is receiving. Stephanie Elbaz’s musicality and interpretation is elevated to the point of Angelic. I receive a virtuosity in Stephanie Elbaz’s playing missing in all but the most interpretive and compassionate pianists. People respond to an ineffable musicality of magical and ephemeral Radiance in Ms Elbaz’s performances. It took me hours of.ardent listening before I beheld that rarified quality. Many Pianists dramatize past their weaknesses. Stephanie musically reframes where once she was weak and turns that into transcendent musical expression even rephrasing it in little moments of gentle silence that clarifies, extenuates, gently transcends. Since it is gentle listening most people pass it by without the accent of bravado or fortissimo most listener mistake as greatness. Stephanie Elbaz’s playing reminds me of Michelangelo’s Pieta, excess marble left as dust on the floor so that light could raise the sculpture’s wings into heaven where it is best interpreted. Stephanie’s dust is silence, sculpted transcendent sounds experienced in the Soul as something Spiritual arising in her tempered Soul generously, secretly shared with her suspecting audience. Yes, they suspect but only few may know what it is they share in with Stephanie is Divine.
Oh Stèphanie, your playing is still that above others who I hear play the same compositions. I miss you and your videos so much! I know you’re busy with your life but I wish you still did uploads. I remember looking forward to Thursdays when you would upload and getting so excited like a little kid on Christmas! I hope that someday you will be able to come back to TH-cam! I miss you!
