10 Bounty Hunter Armors You Can Craft in SWTOR

- Although the Cartel Market has some of the coolest Mandalorian armors in the game, there's also a lot of really great Bounty Hunter and Mandalorian armors you can craft. These are all crafted by Armormechs (Armortechs).
Bounty Hunters, Agents and Sith can wear this armor with the outfit designer, but most of them change appearance if passed to the Republic side. These sets are ideal for Mercenaries and Powertechs.
You can technically buy these armors on the GTN, but they are often not listed for sale. It's better to try and find an Armormech who will craft you a set! Try asking in general chat or on twitter for an armormech on your server.

Hey Swtorista, great vid as always :) Just wondering about how the outfits change when you use them on the republic side. Does it become the equivalent crafted gear on republic side (eg does terenthium asylum set become the level 10 trooper set) or is it something else entirely?

Love this series. Recently got back in to swtor again and finally finished the story and dlc on my sith warrior (which so far has been my main) and am currently playing through the jedi knight story. I was never in to the crafting in the past, but I got way more in to roleplay and imagining my characters backstory as I play through the game this time and I love adding cool armor and outfits to my characters as I develop their story in my head. This series made me realise how amazing some of the crafted armors are and Im finally getting in to crafting at last. Anyways, I'm rambling.

The quadranium set is identical to the tt-17a hydra armor that you can get at the adaptive armor vendor on fleet.

My Armormech Mercenary can make the OG BH PvP Battlemaster and War Hero sets, as well as the IA PvP sets.

I love the Mullinine Asylum set, I remember years ago I was lucky enough to run Athiss enough times to get the whole set that looks practically identical to this, minus a different color scheme. So cool! :D

the candidate asylum armour looks a bit like a digimon metal wargreymon with the claws and shoulders nice

Tianium Asulym is similar with Red Blade, the NPC agent have to kill before leaving Nal Hutta. Quadranium Asulym makes you Mandolorian without CM or CC, the best for me and those who want to save credits!

You can still buy armor similar to the Vandinite Asylum on the GTN that works for level 50 for about 300000 a piece

I use the Terenthium Asylum and might switch to the Quadranium Armor set.

Some cool sets! Not a fan of the ones with big shoulder pads but a few helmets I really liked. I don't want my new bounty hunter being very bulky. I have one helmet in mind that's on the gtn
I think in the SWTOR "iconic looks" bounty hunters are supposed to be heavy like troopers, and agents get the leaner armor. But in terms of lore I think bounty hunters would wear casual armor more often so they could stalk their pray with less suspicion.

OK, they really broke the mold with the Vandinite Asylum armor. It's the coolest one on both sides. I have to make me one for my bountyhunter too 😁

try to use: nihilus mask+terenthium chest, naga sadow belt, remnant dreadguard trooper gloves+exemplar eliminator pents, eradicator boost (red&black dye)...one of the coolest combo in game...or fearsome harbinger helmet+terenthium chest+naga sadow belt+fearsome harbinger gloves + exemplar eliminator pents+eradicator boots(no dye)

@swtorista can't you get a lv 1 adaptive version of the quadranium asylum at adaptive armour/gear vendor at fleet? think it's around 1-5k a peice maybe cheaper

Swtorista trooper bounty and smuggler/agent are pretty good what are at the vender
the lvl 61 armor is the old war hero one you could get for pvp back when lvl 50 was the max lvl :P

Big Mando fan, so Quandranium set is my favorite. Sadly I'm not a big fan of the helmet on most female toons. Gives a sort of bobblehead look.

Overall thoughts:
Terenthium Asylum - I like it, but I think I'd probably wear the body armour with a different set and the same with the helmet, both look nice, but I don't think they go too well together.
Mullinine Asylum - Not a big fan, especially dislike the helmet, I just can't see anyone really wearing it, I think the body looks alright, but I think this should have been more of a smuggler set, I just think the padding looks more suited to them than a bounty hunter. Also, really hope you've got a dye module, because eww.
Xonolite Asylum - Nope, really don't like those pauldrons, the face mask is ok, but it looks like it almost juts out of the face, which kinda ruins it for me, might work on a cybernetic character though. Also, the jetpack thing doesn't look very well held onto the back, could do with resting on the back a bit more.
Titanium Asylum - Very interesting, getting a bit of a royal vibe, not like Alderanian royalty though, more like criminal underworld type royalty. The helmet reminds me of Lando Calrissian from episode 6 when he's hiding as one of Jabba's guards. Not really sure what characters it could work on though, maybe an Agent on Hutta or something?
Quadranian Asylum - GIMME! 'Nuf said.
Ciridium Asylum - Sorta eh. I kinda like both helmet and body, but they both have things which ruin it for me on the whole. Only minor things mind you, but still.
Frasium Asylum - No thanks, really don't like the spikes and the helmet looks more like a welding visor than anything useful.
Trimantium Asylum - Again, no thanks to the spikes, but the helmet looks cool, looks almost ceremonial, and I can kinda imagine it on a Mandalorian character or something similar.
Vandinite Asylum - Nice, looks very beast-hunter-y, it also looks like you have a mortar or some kind of weapon system on your back, I can almost imagine it on a rather feral sith lord who's sunken so deep into the dark side they've lost all sense of self and have given in to their base animalistic urges... That got dark quickly...
Hadrium Asylum - I. Hate. That. Helmet. Seriously, I swear it's the only helmet you get after level 65 or thereabouts, and it looks so damn ugly. Ugh, I could go on for ages about how much I dislike that set, but I think I'll move on to the rest of the set. Looks pretty good, quite resistance-y in a way, wouldn't really wear it on a bounty hunter, maybe on a smuggler or agent.

I'm not sure if you have done this before, but I'm curious as to what keeps you playing SWTOR besides the fact it's star wars, loads of people on reddit bash it all the time. Maybe a video to tell us what keeps you going? :)
I always wanted to make a video of "why I like this game" but it's just low on my list of priorities :) When I was playing extremely actively I loved the STORIES (the 8 class stories) and I think the GROUP PVE CONTENT (ops/pve) is hella fun when you get a good group going, even if its a bit stale after 5 years (but a new ops boss just came out!!). Now I play because it has a great number of side-systems available for a casual player who can't commit to sitting down for a story or operation... the outfit designer, the stronghold decorating, the crafting, etc. I like making things ingame. There's just a lot to do in the game, I move around a lot from interest to interest.
Yeah this has been my mistake, every time i come back to swtor i just pvp nonstop till it gets old and leave x.x

Hi, I'm new to this game and I'd like to know if I choose the Jedi class, can I use any armor or can I just wear armor from my class? Greetings, I hope someone answers.
There are some old armors that are bound to certain types of characters, but allarmor from the last 3 years can be worn by all characters! You can wear trooper looking armor if you want on your Jedi :D

Ah I found your channel a week ago and just casually checking out your videos. Honestly you really make me wish I still played this game. I really liked it when it came out, played it for 4 years straight. But ever since KotFe- Kotet content had come out I completed the story alright, but I was disappointed that even though Bioware put more focus on the story they neglected the one feature that is unique about it. The individual class stories. I like the new cinematic feel of the expansions, but I feel they are not a true continuation of the origin stories. It's like their past stopped at some point and now we are stuck in this parallel universe. Also Kotfe and Kotet are clearly designed around the Jedi Knight IMO, or to a lesser extent the force classes, but others? yeah I don't feel like they belong at all. Why would Lana even work with a smuggler, trooper, Bounty hunter and put them in charge? Seriously she could crush them in an instant.
What Bioware should have done, and honestly that's what I thought at the beginning they will do is, expand the planets we have, or create new ones. While continuing the class stories and escalating the war between Republic and Empire. Imagine new instances on the old planets we have. Like Alderaan where the civil war between the noble houses has been resolved and now we are rebuilding. It's a completely new instance available for you if you complete the main quest on the planet. Or going back to Korriban with the SI to discover some forgotten Sith artifact, to change the balance of power in the council, or expanding your smuggling ring in the fringes of the galaxy, Hunting down Satele as the Wrath of the Emperor, etc etc. Yeah the JK could still go after Tenebrae that's fine. But sadly this never happened. You know I just wished to see the fruits of everything I have done during the campaign. Sigh.
Still your videos remind me how cool this game is, the stories, the planets, the characters, the music. It's really awe-inspiring to see someone so passionate about such small things as the original craftable pieces. To rediscover the wonder and joy they brought to many people. We sometimes complain maybe a bit too much.. :P about how things are going and fail to appreciate the small things that are awesome in their own right. :D I think I will eventually reinstall to stroll around the enviroment or relive some of the stories. Thank you!
I definitely miss the original class stories, but I don't think they have the resources to ever make 8 distinct class stories again. Cheers and thank you!
Well, I believe they can do whatever they want. They just don't want to. It's far easier to merge all stories into one and sprinkle some unique dialoge in as an added flavour. Disappointing for sure, but at least the cutscenes are far more cinematic than before. :P hehe. Btw eagerly waiting for your sith cathar story to continue! Cheers! :D
So if i sent the Vandinte Ayslum Armor Chestplate to a Sith Warrior class it will look like the same if I'm not mistaken correct?
Yep! The bounty-hunter styles will stay the same on the Imperial side, but will change appearance on the republic side.

the quadranium asylum armor is just the hy.dra amror from the adaptive armor vendor on the imp fleet or dromund kaas but in white and blue and each piece costs 2.5k. i think that is a better alternative than crafting a one of those

+Horderofzombies that's actually a great question. To do it to your own character you left click and hold on the left side of the screen and drag towards the right. I just also built a tool to make it smoother and not wobble.

+The Hunter I've considered it but they change all the time. Head to GTN, sort by armor, sort by price lowest to highest :) set rarity to orange if you want mostly cartel stuff.

ANYONE can craft them, even on the republic side :) You just need to choose the ARMORMECH crew skill.

What's the best way to get schematics?
The ones form this video come straight form the vendor, you just need to be high enough level. There are others though that get dropped in the world and I think from some of the gathering skills... those I usually just buy from the GTN by searching for schematics.

In the Strongholds and Crew Skills section of the fleet :) they're kind of in a corner on the outer edge of the ring. same place you originally pick up your crafting skills.

Many of the original companions you can still "dress up". It's the newer companions whose outfits are locked, and armor has not stats for companions.
No, you want to ask if there *are* any armormechs willing to craft a set for you, not if there _is_ any armormechs willing to craft you a set.

The original end game gear from 5 years ago and made them craftable. Because now everyone thinks they are soo freakin awesome. (Which I'm sure they are). Wow I sound so elitist right now.

Unfortunately the most basic armors are on the cartel market, and there aren't many. You could check out some of the trooper-like armors though from different parts of the game. might fit better.
