Amazing to see this, thanks so much! I've been getting together a vintage camping set up and was planning on exploring the Black Rock Desert in my 1964 Land Rover To see how it was done is amazing.
1972...drones...LOL... For folks that have been through High Rock Canyon, they will appreciate all the work these guys put into filming this. Thanks for the input.
Why did that one keep look extremely similar to mark Smith jeeps from expedition de Las Americas if it was not in the credits? Maybe inspiration, just fantastic even with terrible narration in comparison. Thank you for everything y'all are putting out on TH-cam.
Hi Nicholas, thanks for the feedback and good words. Regarding a similarity to Mark's expedition Jeep, it might have been inspiration, not sure. The Sierra Treasure Hunters are a local club up in Northern California; small circles in the early days.
Were there any CJ-7s ? All the CJs looked like 5s... the Bronco... a fullsized truck & a red Jeepster or Commando.. and if it was 1972ish the 7s were around...
What a great time to be alive!
Right! They just don't make'em like that any more. Thanks for the feedback.

So glad you liked it. The Black Rock/High Rock desert is amazing.
Quite an event! Great video!
Serious vintage stuff, right! Thanks for the feedback.
Fantastic drone shots

Great video thank you for sharing it with the club I remember those days in the 60s and 70s in black rock
Hi Steve, that's awesome, thanks for the feedback.
I grew up doing that stuff with my family plan a hot meal on the trail aunts uncles cousins friends go on an excursion following my dad good times
Some of us are so lucky to have grown up with parents that actually got out and did stuff. Thanks for the input, Spencer.
That was good. Wagon Train is one of my favorite shows ever.
Not a single pair of sandals to be seen, though, so is this Rick approved? ;-)
Well, Mr. Pewe watched last week and said something link, "Wow, not that's cool" but nothing about Tevas.
It was all going Swimmingly until the cut to the 80's jeep.....
Hey Miramar, this was an 8mm reel we received, and ran it exactly how it was produced at the time. Thanks for watching.
Looks like they used the artist from Bonanza to do their credits. Always cool to see Jeeps in the early days building their reputation
@@alhart6126 I love Bonanza, so good choice
@@alhart6126 Hi Al, so you are an OG on this video. Very cool. Do you still have the 5?

Most of those Jeeps were brand new!
1972, right!
Lol oldies but the goodies
Thanks for the input, Marko👍
Black rock desert??? They never found it.
Hi Ed, Collard here. Not sure I understand your comment?
@@Gone_Gpn The title is: jeeps explorer the black rock desert. The black rock desert did not appear in the video at all.
Hilarious
