this song is a criticism of the news media and its fear stoking. Its not about bad religion romanticizing or predicting tragedy. The LA fire is the culturally forewarned tragedy that could ever happen its equivalent to the feared San Francisco 8.0 earthquake. Bad Religion used it to highlight that the news media have no boundaries as long as they sell fear. Sadly the fire really happened and here we all are listening to this banger in different light.
