Where did you have your bars set on the 1290? I adjusted mine to zero but found my hands would hit the tank in a full bar lock... Did you have them set forward of backward and what was the angle?

Lamb Chop Rides CRG arrows on mine, look the business and far more steady than the flappy KTM originals; Rhinomoto bar ends with the machined groove keep them just far enough away from your fingers, before that I tried moving the grips inboard and mounting on the bars but sometime gets in the way.

I reckon the Duke would look better with bar end mirrors now you've got the hand guards on. Just something about the shape of the head light and the lines of the mirror stems and the carbon guard's clashing. But it's looking good so far chops keep the vids coming.👍

Yeah very tough very different bikes, the 690 is great fun though and for me as a road bike makes more sense than an R1.. But each to their own, only you can decide :-) Try and test ride both if you can
I would check again steering head nut (57301036000 STEER.HEAD NUT 660SM 02) as per manual it should be tightened in 2 steps and only around 10nm; screw that tightens clamps is on top and is 50nm (6030103600001 STEER.HEAD SCREW M22X1,5 SW27); bike will feel even worse if to overtight the steering head nut

Fitted also Diablo Rosso III 😈😈😈 on my Superduke in september as my Supercorsa's SC2 have done their (great) time...👌 DRIII're amazing all-around tyres for playing on dirty & wet backdoor country roads. Mr Duke's handguards are lovely carbon pieces (mine's Acerbis Dual-Road)... Tell us, please, if fitting these superb looking T-clamps really improves handling & stability... & Ride safe Sean or James or whatever 😂✌️✌️✌️

I didnt notice any clunking of the front end under hard breaking which you normally get when its all loose.. I will let you know if it feels massively different now but I suppose Im not going to be able to tell as the new yokes could change how it feels a bit anyway!

I dont tend to worry about that too much, I tightened the forks first then the wheel. Every six months or so worth loosening everything and bouncing it so they say but never tried that myself..

DutchGiant The 14-15-16 do not have cruise control/keyless go i know for sure, no QuickShifter has to be added by heeltech. Also the 17 -18 have 4more HP due to titanium valves
