I first heard this when I was maybe 15. Now I'm 25 and it completely resonates in a different light. It's like a time loop of our ever changing being. Everything that has happened, and everything that hasn't happened yet is happening right now and tears are falling down my cheeks but I can't help but smile.

I'm even not a Muse fan, but this song is beautiful. I mean a fantastic piece of music. Everytime this plays, I go to my happy place. A dark winter street in the town where I grew up in. I'm walking along the road with the snow crisping under my feet and the lamppost glares down. A quiet winter night, with my grandad's house in the distance. My family, everyone alive, enjoying Christmas. Cheering for the presents to come. The dream only means one thing: Good memories.
Last Saturday in Manchester this was so emotional, an oasis of tranquility in a concert that blew everyone away with it's sound, lighting and theatrical. These guys entertain and captivate the soul at the same time.

I was thinking exactly the same thing...
Their songs usually have to grow on you, especially the new ones for me. For example survival; it was so weird when I first listened to it, and I was like "nope, this is too much for me" but then with time I started to "understand" it and pay attention to all the little details and now I really like it.
This song re-energizes me...it doesnt calm me down, or hype me up...it sort of clears me and pumps me up a little...re-energize is the best word to describe it
This song means so much more to you when you've been through or are going through what it's about. This song is so true to real life. Being heart broken is one of the worst feelings in the world... :'(

I think this song is written to every teenager out there, who's on the cusp of becoming an adult and facing the harsh, scary realities of the world, but still just enough of a child to be innocent and carefree, and is torn between these two universes. The song tells us to live in the moment and love yourselves and live to the fullest the life and youth that you have now, because when you no longer have that liberty, the world is painful and cruel.
Everyone says what this song makes them think of, for me I'd have to say that I always find myself falling out of the sky, crying. It's such a mellow and yet deep song.

In my personal opinion, I think this song deserves more credit than what is already bestowed upon it. It's great not only for its beautiful music, but it's lyrics as well. Everything Matthew Bellamy and the rest of Muse writes always gets me tied so close to reality, no other artist has yet accomplished that goal.

I believe the song has an attempt at telling us someones view on life, stages in it.
Our life wont last forever, those we love will die, we all grow up to fast, parts of who we are and were die. We forget about them, and lastly. Holding onto the past, achieves nothing.
I believe that is only a small portion of what these words say to us.
