I'm curious...I've watched both this and your vice restoration video and your attention to detail is exceptional. I'm a little confused as to why you fastened the bottom plate with pop rivets. Was it originally fastened with a type of rivet and you wanted to keep the original style? The pop rivets obviously do the job but it seems inconsistent with the rest of your work and the job itself. Aside from that question out of curiosity the work itself is impeccable and the finish product looks amazing.
Great resto! What is the point on removing the Left-hand threaded bolt mark? I assume its just aestetics but this details for me are the most important... Btw the next guy restoring this in 50 years is going to have a bad time trying to take that bolt out :D

I used rivets only because the jack is to serve as a decor.
however, if it was still to be used as a lift, then I would weld the flap

This is over-restored. I would go as far as saying that I liked it more before the restoration. Just greas it up and that is it.
