I'm not a member but when my daughter was in high school a really sweet AKA lady in my community sponsored my daughter for a formal ball. AKA's taught my late father and my daughter ballroom dancing just for this event! It was a beautiful cotillion! My child really benefitted from this AKA community service. It boosted my daughter's self esteem. She looked and felt like a princess! The AKA lady purchased the most beautiful dress for my daughter, too. I very was very poor and divorced at this time. I support the AKAs! If I am not mistaken Vice President Harris is an AKA! Ya'll keep up the great community work!

They're having fun while they're doing it, and learning tenets and forging relationships they will carry for the rest of their lives. College years are but a flash in the pan compared to life. They will go on to accomplish more in life than most can ever dream of. So try encouraging them. EVERY organization has an ugly history, including the church. It is what you do with it NOW that matters. You choose! Be an encourager and participate in life, or criticize and spread death. #ChoiceIsYours

I never understood why they claim sorority is a sisterhood. I have 3 friends in my life each one belongs to a different sorority. AKA, Zeta, and a Delta. They are so RUDE to each other. They constantly put each other’s sorority down into the ground. My AKA friend is such a narcissistic person of which has become problematic in our relationship. It has been explained to me the history of Greek Life. I truly have been turned off of it strictly because of the way I have seen ladies carry them selves. As if they are “better” than any other human being. I don’t understanding not pull together as one and truly be a “sisterhood”. To me “a Man stands alone”.

In the past my g'friends & I will walk hand-in-hand in college/schools, nothing was thought of it. Now, if I held hands with my grown daughter as we walk, it's wahala!!😂😂😂. This reflects so well on their dean. Outside of my probate, this was the best I've seen of any organization. I'm sorry, I'm usually not cocky like that, but our probate was TIGHT. These girls remind me of us. All we did was go in front of the crowd and do what we did pledging. That's how i can tell their dean had them TIGHT!
