I dont get the hate Charlie is projecting to the dev, its the players whos buying this. it funny tho and i can filter my friends who are projecting it has value lol
@@tyroy30it's developers fault at some point, though You are correct as people scam themselves out thinking that an effortlessly made picture in their inventory is actually worth a buck. All it's may be worth is the money paid from someone like them (believers) as those would buy it off for imagineable "profit" - the whole reason why it exists. If people never believed in miracle then those effortless soap bubbles wouldn't exist.
As someone who actually installed the game myself after watching spiffingbrit's video, there's 2 reasons someone might join in on it despite knowing it's a scam: 1: It's funny. Banana. 2: You don't really lose anything but time as long as you don't try to buy bananas. You just click every once in a while and possibly make like 5 cents if someone's stupid enough to pay for it, which basically everyone knows not to do. The only people getting scammed are the idiots trying to actually make it a get-rich-quick scheme by spending real money on it.
Your view is incredibly shortsighted. I will not judge what you find funny, whatever floats your boat. But i will judge the fact that by "playing" this piece of scam you are actively contributing to filling scammer's pockets. It's like having not even a shade of a moral spine. "I don't lose anything, so fuck it, let's have at it." Maybe you don't know, but with every transaction, portion of the money goes to the "developer" of this bs = the mastermind scammer. You are realistically the dumb fuel making the product bigger by hoping you get a fucking cent out of it, therefore not only allowing the scam to happen, but helping it grow. Half a million people like yourself are bloating this shit to extreme levels just to get literally a couple fucking cents, while the "developer" is making a buttload of money off of you all. Laughing at your faces. Controlling all the value and quite literally printing money for themselves. and it's more than most people's yearly income. You're nothing more than a money printer for someone else. Go watch Jauwn's video about this "game". Educate yourself, get to know who you're helping with it and give it a serious moment to think about. You're a part of a problem, cease.
This is literally like a modern day version of trying to get the jackpot at a slot machine in a casino or the large ticket prize at an establishment like say a Chuck E. Cheese’s (which in and of itself is like a casino for children what with all the usage of tokens and winning a certain number of tickets to try and claim a prize).
This "game" was a a Godsent for me tbf. I didn't go into this thinking I would make money, but I needed 5 cents to buy a game on steam, I now own that game and uninstalled banana.
All those people thinking "wow it's so funny I'm gonna IRONICALLY play it" while they are UNIRONICALLY being scammed. So many idiots, this game is like natural selection
the worst part is, even with all of us telling these idiots that it's a scam, they won't listen at all. That's their problem, and infact I actually have a friend who falls for these things because he wants to get rich, like anyone ofc. Despite how much I tried to inform him that all these "get rich quick schemes" are a scam, he never listens and falls for them all. It's been 5 years, he's made no money from them. Hopefully anyone that's similar to my friend reads this and learns a little something.
Relying on people to make good decisions for themselves individually doesn't work on this scale. The freaking hunter gatherers and first sedentary tribes realized that. The solution is centralized enforcement of rules to punish scammers. The fact that neoliberalism has promoted a zeitgeist based on pure individualism is an ongoing tragedy.
or you could not put money into it at all and just collect bananas and maybe sell em if u want too, cuz for some reason idiots are buying them. @@FullAutoWitchit really chose to go ham on your comment goddamn
The best part is that on the review page, if you look at the negative reviews on there, the dev responds with shit like "factually incorrect" when someone outlines the entire premise of the scam
This sounds like a Regular Show Episode waiting to happen.
It could be the plot of a South Park episode. Everyone in the town quits their jobs and instead starts “investing” in bananas, and people are enslaved and being forced to click the banana every 3 hours
@n7x - or like the Stanley Parable if he never leaves the office, this is what he was doing for his job 😂
Or some sort of scheme that the Eds would come up with on “Ed, Edd n’ Eddy” if you want to go a little further back.
@@n7xSomewhere I can imagine Trey Parker and Matt Stone looking at this very comment and thinking “WRITE THAT DOWN! WRITE THAT DOWN!”.
4:45 is no one going to talk about The haunted claw machine in the background?
There's more called "egg," "tapple," "cucumber and banana," "burger," and "egg surprise"
Yea Egg I think was the first game I saw off Steam. After seeing all these pop up in recent time has been wild. Egg I think has been around for a year or so i’d have to double check.
Egg seems to be the first, read the updates on it and the creator talks about it being a joke project but now its a skin simulator. None of them really seem to be scams to me because they are all free to play. No different than Cookie Clicker lol.
Egg isn't a scam. It's basically cookie clicker
There's always a scam game but rarely are they called Banana, except in this instance.
Jesus bro there's a whole lot of imbeciles in ur replies
Cant you block certain words or phrases in comments? Why dont youtubers blacklist a quote that these bots say all the time
@@Idkfunni-ol1fe because the bots will just rewrite the same comment and change 1 letter in it to get past the filter
@@Idkfunni-ol1fe They try to blacklist the words but they find ways to bypass it from what i have seen like: adding one extra symbol so its no longer technically the same word as in the blacklist, using other languages languages that go from right to left and even when an account gets banned they use other accounts because they know that moderation sucks so the new account will last long enough to rage bait people into their main chanel
searched horror games, Banana was in the list, said "weird" and moved on.
Same.
Rental is fun but short
"This is an intervention." lmao hilarious
nice try Charlie we're not letting you get all the bananas
0:55 this has to be the most intricate sex metaphor charlie has ever made
Just like I said before
🚨 If you see troll bots on the comment section, here's what you can do 🚨
1. Don't reply to them about they say. They want your attention.
2. If they have their videos, don't engage on it. You're still giving them attention if you do.
3. Report them as spam and stay silent on trolls. Don't rage in front of them because they find it satisfying to see you rage online.

Sidenote: Don't @ on bots when commenting.
Yep
Surprised they haven’t flooded in this comment section aswell
Thx for your efforts policeman 🫡

2 weeks from now, the player count goes to 5 million and bananas are selling like hotcakes and early adopters are millionaires
Knowing that there are people trying to get scammed makes me feel a little bit better about myself
Knowing that people out there are trying to get scammed fills you with determination
This shit sounds like something they would come up with in South Park to make fun of NFTs
Pretty much.
I have a simple statement. If someone is dumb enough to sell something, there's someone dumb enough to buy it.
Fr, it's not even the developers fault here lmao. Idk how they keep calling it a "scam". Most of its 3 cents. Get fucked for your steam dollar I guess
@@tyroy30 It's because the developer is probably rigging it. Some bananas don't drop anymore and he has a billion bananas in his inventory
The developer is FSB, and they are trying to make Trump win by infecting peoples computers with this game, amd spreading bots around.
@@tyroy30
@@tyroy30 this, I wont call it "scam" either since the developer never promised anything that the PNGs have value.
its the people who projects it. (tho I have not joined their discord so who knows)
Good execution by the dev, he made a great experiment with people perceiving value.
Finally someone’s putting respect on Spiffing Brit’s name. The harbinger of Yorkshire tea
People always complain about games and their bad quality, anti cheat, and how poorly made they are, then go and hop on a game about clicking a banana.
holy bots in the reply
Fr
real
I mean happened with a cookie.
Jesus these bots are insane
Since when do bots advert child abuse lol
"Everyone loves to think that they're 5 steps ahead of everyone else" truer words have never been spoken.
“The NFT craze from a few years ago”
First thing to make me feel old in a while
OMG IKR, months sure but YEARS. Time flies
As someone who actually installed the game myself after watching spiffingbrit's video, there's 2 reasons someone might join in on it despite knowing it's a scam:
1: It's funny.
Imagine all you want is a “banana”and Charlie calls you a loser the next day
I reckon the only reason it is growing in popularity (instances running) is people saying "If I run one more instance, I'll get a rare drop"

Nice of Charlie to turn on the claw machine for this one.
This game have the same energy with a Banana-taped-on-a-wall art
This "game" was a a Godsent for me tbf. I didn't go into this thinking I would make money, but I needed 5 cents to buy a game on steam, I now own that game and uninstalled banana.
you used up more electricity than you gained in cents lmao
All those people thinking "wow it's so funny I'm gonna IRONICALLY play it" while they are UNIRONICALLY being scammed. So many idiots, this game is like natural selection
He's lying, he just wants all the bananas for himself
the worst part is, even with all of us telling these idiots that it's a scam, they won't listen at all.
The best get rich quick scheme is to start one yourself
or you could not put money into it at all and just collect bananas and maybe sell em if u want too, cuz for some reason idiots are buying them.
Crazy how it sells instantly too :,) I really don't understand it, but I mean getting a game from selling bananas without having spent a single cent on anything. Why not.
Altho If anyones fr taking out their credit card and putting money into their steam account purely to buy bananas, then that's pretty damn sad.
@@nicpus6891 Ay, if your crazy bananas are selling then fair enough, I can’t say anything about that and I’d understand if you continue doing so, because you’re right in that sense. But if what Charlie is saying, if you can’t even get them at all anyways and it’s just the dev that has them, then people are paying for the game and wasting their time trying. I don’t really know though, I’m just going off what I’ve heard from Charlie here.

This also just brings up how sad CSGO players are with boxes.
yea but at least csgo has something to do with the skins , its still a game
And no one in history has ever lost money by keeping skins@@mememaster9703
@@mememaster9703yea but it’s devolved into much worse and the argument that they look good isn’t really applicable. Valve made the value that high by making cases as expensive as they are, and then making arbitrary rarities. No different than this other than the fact that owner is scummy.
@@feudalocean8428case prices is from the community you literally no nothing you’re talking about… years ago cases were only 3 cents
@@feudalocean8428
What are you on about? Valve doesn't decide anything for the cases, infact they don't control any prices for csgo skins. Everything is decided by the community, that's why market manipulation exists lol. In cs2 they started the in-game store thing which are actually sold by them, nothing related to marketplace
