How does this run emulation compared to the Steam deck? I bought both my daughter and I a steam deck. I’ve never dove into emulation but have been thinking about giving it a try.

5800H2023 code no link works
Got this in yesterday and I'm returning it today. Upon booting it up everything worked wonderfully. Then I proceeded to update everything and once I got to the amd driver updates the system crashed and rebooted. Once it rebooted all the drivers were gone and the wifi/bt card wasn't detected. Reset the pc with win11, no luck. Clean installed win10, no luck. Opened it up and reinserted the wifi card and boom everything worked again. I proceeded to update the amd drivers and the same crap happened again. Packed it up and returning it today.

I have this and it’s a beast, perfect for Val, Csgo, Fortnite (on performance mode), overwatch, ffxiv, and WoW
I bought that Beelink mini PC off of Aliexpress for 400$ Canadian which comes with 16gb of memory and 500gb SSD which i also slapped in a 1tb 2.5" SSD.
Without adding a GPU to an OptiPlex, this will blow away most of the ones you will get in this price range. For PC games obviously an OptiPlex plus GPU will probably be the better choice, but emulation this thing may still be better because it has a more modern CPU to handle emulation of newer consoles better.
Yes. This one is awesome. I bought one. You can emulate up to a XBox 360 on it. Also, you can use the latest Windows emulators. That is a big plus. Find a cheap 4TB SSD and put it in it.
Can you confirm that a SSD 4tb works. The specs says max of 2tb.
@@richardgilmore5607 Yes. It works. Windows detects it as 4TB and formats it. The SSD is the 2.5 inch kind. You just open the bottom of the mini pc and slot it in.
There is a little red rubber tab on the bottom to pull out the bottom after you un-screw it.

@@dadio02 It due to the cpu. This mini PC has a really powerful 8 core 16 thread 4ghz Zen 3 Ryzen 7 cpu with really good integrate GPU.
This is a great mini pc. There is a way to jerry rig up a graphics card to it though. You'll need to switch to a 2.5" sata SSD first of all and free up the m.2 slot. Then get a NVME M.2 to PCI 16 adapter for $35. That'll let you connect a graphics card. You'll need a separate PSU to power the graphics card, and you'll want to get a beefier fan or liquid cooler and power that off the PSU as well. You could just migrate all of these components to a bigger case to do all of that, or get a test bench case to mount the added components.
I got the 32gb of ram version for $375, but the price just went up to $469. For that price I would just build my own pc.
You can't really build your own miniPC, maybe a SFF or ITX sized ones at best.
The key pro on miniPCs are the size versus performance factor, and people are buying it because of that.

Cheap and powerful mini PC's like this are why I don't see the point of buying a Mister and paying ransom for updated cores.
The emulation is so good on these Windows devices that it really beats out a MiSTer. Sure, a MiSTer is hardware accurate, but does it really matter these days?
@@krathoon2338 not hard for software emulators to be accurate if that's your thing too. FPGA emus rely on reverse engineering just as software emus do, so there really isn't any major features fpga have over software emulation, unless it plays carts directly, and even then, there's nothing stopping the chinese handheld makers from putting out a product that does that.

What do you or anyone in here think is better: an old low-core CPU(like i5 6600) with dedicated graphics or a top CPU with integrated?.
With regards to emulation some emulators are CPU intensive and others graphics intensive so you need a balance between the 2.
Purely for emulation, a 5900HX or Ryzen 7 6000/7000 series CPUs can emulate upto PS3/WiiU/Switch so you don't really need a dedicated graphics card, unless you also play PC games.
Get a low core mega drive 57 x 4 and a giga dump poop ram preferably with a liquid cooled hydro jet and just run botocera 7 till it gives u the feeling

The one I have does not handle things like starfield which is fine but still I think the mini pc would be better for me was either that or get the xbox series s console.

i like emulation station and retroarch but the Windows Programs are just way eaiser to configure and takes less time and literally everything is right there

I run teknoparrot on a Nvidia T400 with 4gb of VRAM and a 3rd gen i7, runs all games at native res with no issues. I'd imagine this would have no problems at all!

If has a better graphic card or GPU. It might have better graphic not to get slow but full speed and more enjoyable. Low end GPU have effects the speed cause to sluggish I guess what I m thinking 🤔.

I don't think can run all the games at full speed but definitively can run many PS3 games smoothly.
The Ryzen 7 7735H or 6900HX may be a better option if you wanted to run most PS3 games smoothly and upscaled.

Im just trying to find a console that can emuluate the classics with cheat codes or trainers whatever you wanna call em, im talking from 1986 - 2005, does anybody got any recomendations? Im not really concerned about PS3, XBOX 360 or WII onward but if there was one id go for that but thats not really my primary target for emulation.

Its an entire pc in a small package. The only thing you need is a monitor and keyboard/mouse to use it. Do not need to piggyback it off another system at all.

If your 10 year old PC gets the job done... well thats up to you. But I wouldn't spend the money unless you think you will get a lot of use out of it.

Highly dependent on the individual emulators, though with something like Batocera OS there is a universal key combo that does save states/load states from most of the supported emulators.
