It's true and not true at the same time. Let's just say yt helped him with that code working right... He obviously didn't expect a company to bother with his video. But they obviously did... and now it is always right because they'd made it so.
@@korana6308 TH-cam is not doing this. It's very easy to achieve this affect of having some code that updates the title every minute.
@@Maxikinz That's the thing. He said it would be close but not perfect. That code does that. No code would allow updating it in real time, it would just be counted as DDOS. So they are helping this video out by feeding him the statistics live. It's not hard. It just requires server level of intervention.
They did a smiliar thing with Numberphile's "why every video has 301 views?" It shows 301 views in it ( of an outdated counting technique) with millions of comments and likes. Because it was a server level intervention done so by youtube. It's not hard. From time to time yt devs do some fun easter eggs just for funzies.

I'd imagine the views presented by the TH-cam API are what are also used to show end users. All of the view fudging and aggregation will happen in the background before it's presented anywhere.

I'm convinced TH-cam just operates on pure spite, because it's been exactly right for over a year now
It baffles me how seemingly no one seems to understand what Scott meant by saying that. The title is simply identical to the youtube's own viewcount, which doesn't keep track of views in real time, only every minute or so. Which means it isn't accurate, and therefore neither is the title.

Code is a product of your imagined solution of any particular problem and your skill in using any particular tool (language). It's an intermediate step of translating means (imagination and language) to an end (solution).
@@houghwhite411 well i don't think that's entirely true, i don't really know about software developing or coding but i study coding in C++ at school so i am not completely ignorant. i think that knowing the instruments you're working with improves improves the range of things you can create with them, for example in video editing, having a cool idea in your head is and then making one person realize that is fine, but knowing the tools themselves opens many more possibilties, cause you know how they work from the inside and you can come up with many more creative solutions
