Sincere response on the video to the bad luck with your bike. But you always overcome disappointments and disaster. That makes you a strong person 👍🏻 Well doen boy !
love your adventure, love your attitude and your videos. big wheels with relatively narrow tires are prone to breakage, that's why I use 26" wheels with 36 spokes and 2.00" tyres. never broke a spoke in the last 20 years even though my bike weighs at 45kg fully loaded. of course you will tell me that won't help you a bit to solve your current problem. I have to admit, you've got a point there. resourceful as you are I'm sure that very soon you will solve or, at least, curb the issue you're having. cheers.
Thank you for sharing but sadly as an American citizen I can not go to a lot of the places you have been. So I am enjoying it being able to see these places
Wat een prachtige video weer. Maar wat een pech met je fiets... Ik hoop dat hij het nog even volhoudt tot Islamabad. Dat jij het volhoudt is me wel duidelijk... Succes!!
Superb video Koen, love the soundtrack, breathtaking scenery and a job well done. Immense to see where you are and marvel in awe at the Himalayas. Thanks for sharing and descend safely ;-)
I'm so sorry about your bike, hope you can find goood hub in the future ( maybe somewhere in Thailand 😅) Great job Koen👏🏻 keep going boy✌🏼🤩 So proud of you 👏🏻 👏🏻
Awwww, what a surprise, NOT. DeFAILeurs hub failed. LOL. So what junk will you replace it with?? I did 2 tours with my Rohloff14, Vietnam, China and the American NW. Load the drinks and ride. Gets better with age. Also awesome is my SA XL-FDD dyno drum brake hub. 32,000 miles with one bearing change. ZERO worries in any weather.
You’re taking an impressive ride, bonne chance and bonne route! (But I must ask: why does police presence bother you, I think you would welcome this given the number of kidnappers and bandits in that part of the world).
Thank you! Actually most of Pakistan is completely safe. Even the police and locals say so, no danger whatsoever. They just see it as their ‘duty’ to stay with you, but for no reason. Also it bothers me as at every check point you have to wait for at least 15 minutes, sometimes up to half an hour or longer. As well as the sound of the engine all the time right behind your butt while you’re trying to enjoy the nature is not ideal ;)
Your journey through these mighty mountains is impressive. Stay strong.💪 I hope you like my country.

Great work!
And so you should be proud after all that climbing with a fully loaded bike and damaged hub! An absolutely brilliant achievement. Kudos Koen

A video always at the top, as you were, Koen, at this high altitude. Well done !
