I remember the time in one of my PreK classes where I was the adult we did the popular lesson idea...where you order caterpillars place them in a "butterfly house" following the detailed instructions provided...and watch the whole process unfold until it is time to release them to fly....I seriously got teary eyed as I watched "our babies" fly into the beautiful sunshiney world 🌎 it was so priceless!!! 💞

    Would it be beneficial if we planted a few bushes/ plants that attract butterflies if we're going to start a small garden this spring? Thank you

    • @lepidlover0557
      @lepidlover0557 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Very much so!
      If you want to attract butterflies and other beneficial insects, you have to *Create Safe Habitat* for them!!
      Search up what butterfly species live in your area and the host plants they use to lay their eggs on.
      Plant native trees and flowers on your property to provide food and shelter for the butterflies and other wildlife that is already in your area.
      Remove invasive non-native plants
      that spread and take over natural areas, choking out the native vegetation that wildlife need to survive.
      And lastly, *STOP POISONING EVERYTHING!!*
      No herbicides. No pesticides. Use less risky methods of controlling pests and aggressive plants on your property.
      Do this, and you'll have a happy, healthy , and peaceful, butterfly garden! 😊

    Monarchs have drastically decreased in number.
    Beautiful and educational video. At 9:40 and elsewhere photographers can learn that locking focus on the ‘take-off’ leaf is good, but that leaf should be at the bottom of the frame to capture more of the expected upward flight. Also, too tight on the depth of field allows the flyers to quickly lose focus. This all applies to bird flight as well.
