I have been through this a few times and NEVER got a penny back even with the EBAY GUARANTEE which I found to be USELESS!!
I had a pawnshop from Ebay do me like that too. The post office told me to come and calm it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 it was some speakers that where trashed too the fullest. Got my refund and sent them back the way they came with some newspaper.
I’m amazed they arrived in the condition they did tbh. Here in the UK, even when shipping speakers/electronics in their “original packaging” its a lottery they even arrive in working condition at all.
I always have same problem wen I order something and I recive terrible packing package. if I pay for shipping I expect quality packing not garbage and rest from shipping cost seller take. That's why negative feedback will appreciate that action 👌😂

Corner damage was already there previous to shipping. You can see the sharpie marker to cover it up.

At some point you might want to see if you can try out some speakers from JTR audio I think you would see a huge difference in Audio quality from there speakers and subs

I would be highly pissed off, especially with that corner if it wasn’t listed in the description. Why ship something so poorly when you run the risk of the buyer returning this back to you, resulting in further damage, just wow!!!

I have found a pair of these in excellent shape for 400usd for the pair and think i can talk him down to 300. Should I pick them up or look for something better for the 400??(which I seriously doubt i find anything better with the same 400)
no crosser/amp unit with them though. I only have 2 triad dsp subwoofer rackamps and can't afford the used subwoofer amp that i see that comes/run them. You think using those triad racks would be a good idea since they same their amps only work with their drivers
Would you still recommend it in 2022? Or it’s so old technology now? How is it compared to new generation subwoofers by Klipsch?
I wasn't impressed with it. There are MUCH better subs out there than Klipsch. Check out SVS, HSU, Rhythmik and if you want to take it to the next level, consider JTR, Seaton or Power Sound Audio.

Jail has always made great subwoofers in the car audio. Many many many years ago I heard one JL Fathom or Gotham subwoofer at Sound Advice back when they were in business.
The pro-audio market has corner guards. If you were to keep it, you could clean it up, re-stain it black and install corner guards on each top corner. Or line the top edges with anodized aluminum.

Just out of curiosity I have a question for you. I own a Cerwin Vega Stroker 10" car subwoofer that is 1600W RMS at 1 ohm. Is there a way to use this as my home subwoofer? It's in a 1" MDF ported box super heavy and hits like a beast! Any way to buy a external amp that's capable of powering it?

My projector and screen came in just the original packaging. The box for the projector was dented, and screen was already half way opened.. my yamaha aventage also arrived in original box, with small tear marks and scuffs, makes you just a little bit mad, to think about your expensive equip. has been tossed around in at least four different terminals..

Same exact thing happened to me when i ordered an open box monolith 12 from Monoprice. Awful pack job in torn up box. I could see the subwoofer through the box handles

I personally would not spend $500-$1000 on a power cord or even a power conditioner. I just don’t hear a difference. I would spend the money towards another subwoofer

This is actually a 3 month old video. Forgot I had it. Seller did give me a partial refund for damage but I had to fight for that.

Hey Miguel unfortunately they will not be a review. I actually bought this sub several months ago and forgot I had made the video. I ended up selling it. A 12 inch driver doesn’t do much for me anymore
Will you be doing a review on this as well? I was curious about how good this subwoofer is. I’m assuming due to it being a high quality Klipsch model it won’t disappoint but I don’t want to spend all of that money on this if the SVS models will blow this out of the water.

It wasn’t super impressive to me but then again, I haven’t owned a 12” sub in a long time. It was descent but for the money, there are certainly MANY options that perform better and cost a lot less.

If it didn't impress you it probably didn't meet it's quoted specs on the website. I bet those dual 16s are just insane lol
ouch! i purchased a $1500 Takamine acoustic electric guitar from (& fulfilled) by Amazon last year & it was shipped without any packing material in a very flimsy box.
the guitar was in pieces when it arrived my place. you would think Amazon would know better 😒

I ordered it from Reverb about 6 months ago. I had to get them involved as the seller didn’t want to provide a partial refund but Reverb reached out to him and he finally agreed.

When you have packages arrive that banged up no matter how it was packed, I would take photos and refuse the shipment.

I think a gesture of goodwill is in order..... Seller cheaped out on sufficient packing, you receive the item in condition worse than aware of at purchase time...... Partial refund.... No more said...... That's assuming its functioning as per sellers description!
Seller did provide a partial refund but I had to reach out to Reverb to get them involved before the seller was willing to make it right. The amp was damaged in shipping and did not function properly.

Unfortunately they will not be a video on the sub. I bought it out of curiosity and because it was a youth man deal. I ended up selling it about a month or two after I had it. This is actually an older video that I forgot I had

man I would like to pick your brain, I am working on a 7.2.5 system and was wondering if you had any recommendations on some really good in wall LCR speakers and some awesome atmos speakers
@@gerad9882 Unfortunately I have never cared for In-wall speakers. They typically are a considerable compromise in sound compared to floor standing speakers or even bookshelf speakers but realize not everyone wants large speakers. That's the trade off.
For Atmos, I would match them to the brand of your main speakers.
I am in love with the Klipsch thx ultra 2 7.2 system. I am also looking at some klipsch pro 7502 speakers.
I like you videos and have been a subscriber for several months, and I don't think I've encountered this problem before with your videos. It looks like you tucked a lav mic inside your shirt to hide it, but the problem it that you are moving a round a bunch and the mic is constantly rubbing against the clothing causing a lot of deep, heavy rustle for your whole video. Wearing the mic outside of the clothes would prevent it or EQ'ing or running a noise filter would probably fixed it perfectly too. I'm a video producer myself so sorry, I notice the production issues more than most.
This video was made about 3 months ago. That was before I moved to a lac mic. What you hear is my AC vent blowing air on the mic that was sitting in my theater seat. 😀
A simple low pass filter set to 80-100Hz would clean up a lot of that noise. Just FYI in case you ever run into this issue again in the future.

I recently upgrade my AVR to a Denon 4500h, should I add a pre-amp to drive my 2 new SVS PB-2000? or should I get one for my front channels and center B&W 603/htm71 S2. Just added 4 SVS elevations 2 as front high's and 2 in the high side rear. I still have my Wharfledale diamond 225 as rear surrounds. So I'm basically 5.2.4 the 4500H does 9.2 but can go to 11.2 with a pre-amp all is working but I could get more out of it I'm sure. What pre-amp would you suggest to all this and to what speakers would you have it send power? I still have my old Yamaha avenge 2030 don't know if I could use that as a pre-amp or it won't work? It's still in great condition very powerful but might be best serving someone else it's a massive beast so going with a small pre-amp could be great. What are your thoughts I'm very close to being done for a long time. Thanks again

It was frustrating but the reality is getting angry wouldn’t change the situation. My faith played a huge role in how I responded in this situation. The seller eventually gave me a partial refund but only after I contacted reverb to act as a mediator
