What a very beautiful man Costello is, and I’m speaking of those intangible, invisible parts. The vital things. I’ve followed and collected and studied his Mt. Everest of creative art since 1977, and few people have ever touched me as profoundly. I owe him so much. Thanks for sharing this interview!
He's great. And crucially, he's great value as an interviewee. Personally I think he's the greatest singer/songwriter of the last 50 years, but that's a subjective judgment with which not everyone will agree, so, fine. But more importantly here, he's someone who's just passionately interested in popular music. You only need to ask him one question and he's off, he'll talk for hours. Because he loves pop music, and that's a very endearing thing.
His best song is Oliver's Army, it only just got banned on radio and tour set from last week just because of a word on lyrics, which was uncut and played in full on Radio and TV originally up to something like 2013 till 6 Music made a edit , had this song on repeat last week, that song is so catchy, still needs to be heard.

@@peterowen9183 I agree with you entirely, Peter. He’s enriched my life in more ways and more deeply than I can express.
Still owns the film rights and works on all the sequels

@bleeuk Tips its hat to Dancing Queen
Love how music still excites Elvis. Keep the Fe, brother. Music heals.
Two 'bubbly' hosts flattened by EC's intensity and verbosity. Love it.
I thought the hosts were being rather coy and condescending, but perhaps that's just me
Rock n roll record ....😁 Poptastic is EC and all that 70s lot !
England's greatest songwriter...?
These orders are 3 months old!?!
imposters are horrible ...because no Bruce Thomas ....Elvis Knows this in his heart...
Bruce Thomas was great but don’t hate on the imposters! Read “rough notes” and you’ll see that he ruins his own image more than anyone else ever could
He was/is indeed a fabulous bass player.
The 'Pound Shop Dylan'.
Dylan's a Pound Shop Joni Mitchell.
