I have heard this recording before, but every time I hear it I literally have heart palpitations. That 911 operator could have gotten her killed. She waited until halfway through the conversation to say she didn’t have to talk, and caused her to wake him up. Fair warning ⚠️ I’m about to rant She could simply have asked only vital questions and had her answer yes or no by tapping into the phone once yes, twice no or typing a number once or twice on the keypad if possible to do silently. Instead, in the end this girl saved herself. As soon as the operator knew the house wasn’t his, but an abandoned house he broke into, it meant he intended to kill this girl. They were so loud coming through the door, downstairs talking. It wouldn’t have taken two seconds for him to shoot her, rather than face testimony and life in prison. Then you find out it’s not his first rodeo, or even his fourth?! He definitely planned to kill her, too Maybe I should be thankful that 911 operator put down her Diet Coke and nail polish 💅 long enough to answer the call, and the bungling COPD put down their donuts 🍩 long enough to wheeze through the door. The funny thing about your theory is that her whispering answers never woke him up. The dispatcher had nothing to do with her bumping the taser, but even though she did, her talking still didn't cause him to wake up. So, all this stuff about the dispatcher endangering her is manure. It's probably best that nobody knows, except those that she wants to know. That's kinda the ideal situation, as she gets to choose the amount of exposure her story gets that way. And as such, if she wants to just put it in the past, maybe tell a current or future friend/family member/therapist/whoever about it, that's her prerogative. This way, she isn't flooded with media calls and such, but can rather slip back into society should she so desire (obviously with some mental scars, I would imagine, but this way she can deal with it privately rather than being forced into the public spotlight)

& that dispatcher needs to get fired
She had no idea what was going on, tho. The dispatcher/cops knew nothing about the situation. Yea, it might all seem obvious to you, but thats because you have all the information you need right in front of you, its all nicely summed up in the title. You have to think about it from their perspective. The cops were going in blind. They cant just go running in there, guns drawn, and hope for the best. They need all the information they can get and its the dispatchers job to get that information.
She did know enough and should've lowered her voice as well and simply explained police are on way ; in area keep calm don't wake him be ok i'm here help is seconds away etc rather than probing to gain facts in case shes killed and not saved so they have a case.@@signoguns8501

The cops were sent immediately..she was keeping her on the phone.
@@paulabrown6840 she can just ask her to not down the phone but stay online. Very stupid dispatcher
@@sameerad7542 or maybe the dispatcher was talking to her so she didn't feel alone. She told the victim not to respond if she couldn't, but I bet the victim felt a lot of comfort just hearing the voice of someone friendly that was sending police to rescue her.
This has always been the most enraging 911 call ever. A terrified woman in the same room as her kidnapper trying desperately to not wake him... let's make her talk a lot! WTAF?!?
She almost said " I don't have time for games. This number is for emergency calls" before hanging up and going back to playing candy crush
What concerns me is the dispatcher's tone, at times, seems accusatory almost. Felt as though she needed to defend herself. Sensitivity and communication skills training probably won't hurt. 🕊️☮️
I did detect a subtle, but noticeable sprinkle of, "...is this Bish just fuggin with me right now" buried in her demeanor.
Her tone is terrible. Almost angry at the girl
Ya it could very well be that they get 100 to 1 or more fake calls in abuction cases... who knows... I didn't like the stupid and repeat questions by dispatch tho... get your shit together the victim held it together better then u

Everyone hates the police until they actually need them.
I really really hope this dispatcher is sweeping floors now. She followed ansolutely 0 quiet call techniques. She shouldve followed a silent call procedure telling the victim to respond yes by pressing 1 and no by pressing 2. Then very few absolutely necessary questions requiring her to speak.
The constant redundant questions are inexcusable, but answering any of them by dialing would have been much noisier than whispering.
Dude do you know how loud it beeps when you hit a button.
You tap on the mic. That's how you do it.
I can’t take this anymore, I’m 7 minutes in and literally about to have an anxiety attack from dispatcher! Is she a operator or a damn interrogator? IM OUT!
yeah, I couldn't listen to all of it either. In her defense, I think she was making sure that it was a legit call, and tried to get as much intel for the responding officers. They were in a tough tactical situation. And this is the kind of thing that is hard to train and prepare dispatchers for.
i thought i was going crazy she really didnt care or just was being mean/having a bad day. like even her tone was off. maybe she got prank called a bunch before this call thats the only way i can explain how idiotic and pointless that was. good for the cops for getting there quick

I also hope she is afforded the best possible treatment to cope with the inevitable trauma that will come as a consequence of all that she has had to endure.

The dispatcher is beyond belief! Keeping the girl on the phone and questioning her. All she needed to know is where the girl is. My God! She put her in danger.
I have heard this recording before, but every time I hear it I literally have heart palpitations. That 911 operator could have gotten her killed. She waited until halfway through the conversation to say she didn’t have to talk, and caused her to wake him up.
Fair warning ⚠️ I’m about to rant
She could simply have asked only vital questions and had her answer yes or no by tapping into the phone once yes, twice no or typing a number once or twice on the keypad if possible to do silently.
He definitely planned to kill her, too
Maybe I should be thankful that 911 operator put down her Diet Coke and nail polish 💅 long enough to answer the call, and the bungling COPD put down their donuts 🍩 long enough to wheeze through the door. Smh

The funny thing about your theory is that her whispering answers never woke him up. The dispatcher had nothing to do with her bumping the taser, but even though she did, her talking still didn't cause him to wake up. So, all this stuff about the dispatcher endangering her is manure. Something could have happened and he could have taken her out of there before police arrived, gathering information such as whose phone she was using and where she was abducted would have helped investigators put various pieces together and track her down.
