Band Maid are a bunch of mega talented musicians led by by a demur, shy musical genius lead guitar/composer. Many think that they are the best rock band in the world but they also play other styles including breath taking acoustic versions of their songs. They have their own genre and are pushing the envelope with each new composition.
TOTALLY AGREE!! I consider them already as one if my ALL-TIME GREATEST BANDS! I feel extremely fortunate that I will get to see them live when they come to San Diego later this year. They are totally belong in a category of their own. I have my fair share of great bands over the years but I have not been so excited go see a band since I was teenager nearly 40 years ago.
These ladies are no joke they are extremely talented and like you said They Kick Ass ! They are considered one of the best hard rock bands on this planet and they are striving for world domination. Bandmaid is getting there. They are starting to get more exposure on tv, has their weekly radio show, but still not as big as they should be.
Sure there are many talented bands out there but bandmaid is different and special.

I know you you like your hard metal,and at first you were a bit sceptical of bandmaid because they are not a heavy metal band,but I think you started to respect them after a few songs,now I think you see what we we all do . A great ,talented band that everyone respects and love.

BEST BOWL EVER! Thanks, Russ! Great reaction, love seeing the Maids highlighted. What's even better is their musical catalog is in triple digits with tracks that are equally as good and beyond. I have the sincere belief that Band-Maid is incapable of producing a sub-par track. It is a real shame that they are not huge worldwide, it's simply criminal they only have 400+ subs on their channel. Nonetheless, I look forward to their tour dates to be announced for their U.S. 2022 tour . I was fortunate to see them last time they toured in the U.S. If there is one show not to miss it is Band-Maid. I urge everyone to check them out live.

PUZZLE is the unofficial "mile stone" for we Maidiacs. It is the perfect Band Maid song. This song hooked in A LOT of fans and you see why. Having said that... the only thing that really "connects" Band-Maid with their music is (IMO) their stage attire. they are so diverse in what they play, and as you have seen.... talented. Just say'in.
Siri you asked how popular Band-Maid was in Japan. Band-Maid was scheduled to play at Budokan on February 11th of 2021. This is considered the peak of musical achievement. However due to the pandemic they had to cancel the concert. Still this shows you that they are 90% of the way to major stardom!

BAND MAID plays Happy Hard Rock n Roll - you can just feel the happiness! Also please note the Jimi Hendrix stickers on MISA's Bass - both of them. AKANE got rid of the had because it kept falling off. She liked the hat but it was distracting her.

It was Saiki that caught my attention with this band . It has just bee a great ride seeing them just get better and better. .Great job with B-M bowl
For me, it was Akane who caught my attention. I have loved every second since then. They always put me in such a good mood when I listen to their music.
@@LostAgain1970 She demands attention for sure . When I heard Saiki it was an audio only . I no idea what insanity stood behind her .
Akane's drumming was what grabbed me instantly but then soon I found out it had to be 5 of them to create the sound.
Saiki's voice on stage is way more powerful, rich and deep than studio version that you notice the difference from Miku's voice immediately.
Kanami (kead guitar) is the hard rock equivalent of Miyako. She is a musical genius both on playing and comporing. Misa (bass) and Akane (drums) are also world class musicians. Saiki has an awesome voice and incredible stage presence and Miku is a great rythm guitarist and her harmonising with Saiki is out of this world! You are absolutely right, they should be huge everywhere!
Going Great... But it's a bummer you did "Real Existence" Music Video... This band is an exceptional Live experience. Official Live is the way to go... You get the high quality sound with all the extra's they put into the live performances, cool trade off's, extended solo's and that killer stage presence in front of the crowds...

THE NONFICTION DAYS is the song that graced the end of their LIVE for a long time and is the source of their style.
PUZZLE also has an acoustic Ver.
NOGOD is a song that is a candidate for TOP in their album.
The completeness of the album is wonderful, and it is a problem that I can not get the first place.
There are no mistakes in their songs, so please listen to them.

Major kudos to you both for this 30 minute Band Maid love fest! And what’s not to love? They are amazing in every way. I don’t know to what lengths I will have to go, or how much I will have to spend, in order to see them when they tour the States this year… But I’m up for it!

I’m glad you guys got to see these vids and how versatile and excellent this hard rock band truly is. I haven’t enjoyed a band since the late 70’s/early 80’s and I might like them even more than those great classic rock bands. Robert Plant called his band the “band of joy” and I can’t think of a better adjective for Band Maid - they bring musical joy to this ol’ rocker! ✌🏼🔥😀.
They’ve definitely gained a lot more exposure in the US, and around the world for that matter, during the pandemic and I think a lot of that is due to reactors like you guys willing to give them a listen and not write them off as a gimmick band - and then once you hear them - WOW - you instantly know they are the real thing!!
Plus having the cameo in the Netflix movie “Kate” helped and now their song “Choose Me” is on the soundtrack for season 1 of the John Cena starring “Peacemaker” Marvel universe series on HBO.
They are definitely going to be playing in front of bigger audiences on this upcoming US 2022 tour. Who wouldn’t want go see them live once you’ve seen a few of their videos!! You know the “serving” is going to be a blast and well worth the time and expense. I’m sure us Maidiacs will see you guys at a show!! 🔥😎

i was surprised & happy , "Puzzle" is part of mega bowl.
In your free time , u should try listen again with headphone, instrument sound on Right & Left side. Mixing was the best from that concert.
Final song , REAL EXISTENCE - it was FULL of Energy , i love the final part of song with double time drummer.

Band Maid are an impossibly hard rocking band. Not my words but apt. No God and Real Existence are a great example of the way Band Maid have progressed. Real Existence is a great song but was written for them and is more rock/pop, in my view. As the years went by Kanami song writing and the bands arrangement improved and they started writing their own material to create a far more sophisticated sound. I have always been on the fence as to which I prefer. However, the live version of the later songs are far better in my view, than the studio audio.
This Mega bowl, is a great choice of Band Maid's material so thanks to Russ Henry for choosing it and to you both for reacting to the songs.

Just found this channel, what a cool idea for a channel especially when you highlight a band of the calibur of Band Maid, I discovered them a few years ago while learning about Babymetal, as far as I'm concerned Band Maid is my favorite all time band, and I'm in my 60s, so I've seen all of the greatest band's, also loved your video on Nemophila, what's coming from Japan blow's the world away and I'm better for it, great channel and please keep this awesome idea going.

You asked during "Domination" how popular they are. As far as I can tell, they're in the middle as far as the bands I listen to. Babymetal and Wagakki Band are on top, and B-M are a step or two down but are climbing. They were supposed to perform for the first time at Budokan, Japan's most prestigious arena, in February of 2020. That got canceled due to covid, but it was a signal to the fans that B-M's skill and hard work has been paying off. Their recent albums have cracked the top ten of Japan's Oricon and Billboard charts as well.
Line Cube Shibuya has around 2000 people. A lot of bands have played there, including Nemophila who played there on 1/9/2022. The venue is managed in part by Amuse, the talent agency who handles Babymetal and Asterism. Metallica's first-ever show in Asia was at this venue back during the MoP tour. Iron Maiden, U2, X Japan, Loudness, and Galneryus are other acts that have played there, too.

Set up a bowl with Band's Maid's "Warning!" "Sense" and "Dice" - It will be good.
Their tour of Japan sold out in the first day or so. As has their 14 date US tour including the Aftershock Festival, starting in October. So at least you will see how big they are in the US. The thing is that with so many top rock and metal bands in Japan right now I think that there are a top few who have the most fans each.

Thank you for this mega reaction. Real Existence (Live) is a monstrous and magical performance in all aspects. At the end, you get shocked during minutes trying to put in order your neurons and redoing your body. BAND MAID is The Total Band. Thanks again ( For your information the girls do not wear shoes inside the temple showing respect for their ancestors and Akane has silencers over the toms to avoid too much noise ) Love them !

@@brewtalityfilmsllc4871 you need to see these musicians in person. No two Servings (concerts) are alike. Band-Maid's set list might be the same every night but their fan interaction is always different. Band-Maid really feeds off the energy of their fans and go with the flow.

They are not popular in Japan neither female rock and metal bands. Ironically they are more popular in western rock and metal fans
But rock bands has been one of the main stream music in Japan, so their production is so good

The bassists name is MISA. You were thinking of F Chopper Koga who is the bassist for Gacharic Spin/Doll$boxx. She is fantastic, but I have to give the edge to MISA. You might not have noticed this, but next time you watch a live BAND-MAID look at MISA's amp stack. She always has a bottle of Jim Beam or a beer on top of it. She takes a pull of it all through out the concert.🍺
