Oh my stars, I'm in love with that cast iron trough! 😍 So classy already and when those copper pipes patina.... A whole nother level of gorgeousness will emerge 🥰🤗
I have a plan that when I get around to actually working with copper water lines, that I would practice soldering by making fountain parts. This is a great tutorial on the form and a great way to not need to bust out the torch!
Kaleb, I love how you made that cast-iron horse water trough into a fountain. The sound of running water in the landscape is like a magnet for wildlife and other creatures (including humans), and it sounds wonderful. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Awesome!! My husband made a bubbler for me out of a gigantic ceramic pot a few years ago. I love it and the birds do too! Yours is gorgeous just as it is.💚
If you follow the first link in the description, it will give you a list of the copper tubing I used. As for measurements, I would suggest customizing it to fit your trough dimensions. I tried to give equal spacing between the bubblers and the edge of the trough. If you use three bubblers, divide the length of your trough by four. That will give you the spacing needed between the bubblers, while also appearing symmetrical in the basin. Hope this helps! ⛲
Everything is very beautiful. I thought the fountain turned out great. I love the horse trough festival. I’ve never seen something so beautiful and a great shape.
I don't see myself crafting a fountain, but if one needed one, this is a great tutorial! I'm sure it will help many people be inspired to create their own version or solve their own fountain problem. Enjoyed this craftiness. More and more please!
I’ve been waiting since Christmas to see what you were going to do-and oh my-I absolutely love it. The copper is the perfect fit and it’s going to be even nicer when it ages and the patina takes over.
Caleb, ur fountain is beautiful. I love it. If I were younger and could maintain it as u willl, I would certainly give this a try. Luv watching ur videos.
A simple design but not easy to put together. Definately takes thinking, patience and perseverance. Your fountain works perfectly and I like it's location and all three bubblers in the center instead of just one. Rewarding, as the water fountain is your very own creation. Had a pond I worked on myself and liked the location in my former garden but unfortunately too many critters wanted to dive in!
Hey, an additional plus with using copper pipe is it should act as a natural microbial in the water. My brother has a copper pipe laying in the watering trough for his livestock and mold does not grow!
...I LOVE this! It looks AWESOME, and the simplicity of the copper piping fits the antiquity of the trough. Seeing this out a window, or just walking by would be sooo fulfilling! 🤗🙌🫶 I have a stock tank with a pump and waterbell which in itself gives me an ample sound of water in my garden. It's a must. 🙏👌 👩🏼🌾💚 =^..^= [MD, now7a]

This is a great idea. I love how you took so many ideas and made them your own, and the fact that its reasonably priced.
Kip is so sweet and so chill.
