Glad it worked out for you! Picking up my 2018 JGC SRT in two days! Can’t wait! Good luck with your vlogs! Been very informative this far and looking forward to future content.
Very well Done,Best content ever on the SRT you play, you break, and you fix, and you show how to do it !( your tech skills are100%!!) This is what sets you apart! ,Your a classy fella!. your vlogs are a blast! Keep them coming!
Keep up the good work dude, saw a difference in editing from when you started to now since I’m kinda into getting a GC SRT, it’s getting better and I enjoy it a lot!
9:10 Your description is the function of a differential in general. A limited slip differential "prevents or limits" the rpm difference between the rear wheels. When slip is identified the clutch locks up and the rear wheels turn at the same rate.
Sounds like something is either loose or shifting when the vehicle is accelerating. I’d take it back to the dealer and bring a technician with you on a test drive to show them what your exact concern is.
How does a differential get broken in the 1st place? Reason im asking is because I only drive my jeep on the road, I've never been in an accident. And it has 106k already. And one day I noticed the clinking noise and found out it was broken. Any idea?
I got a 2020 GC SRT with 7500 miles on it. Did one 0-60 with Launch and the diff and transfer case are toast. $9k in repairs. Waiting on warranty approval now
I think I need some spider gears ⚙ myself I tried changing both speed sensors downsizing tires cause I thought my wheels were rubbing because it was too wide, but that wasn't the problem. how much is that job gonna run me smh iam soo upset but what can I do?. I do t trust none of these mechanics out here in the bronx ny.
Same as mine , 2012 SRT 8 , but what I did notice on mine is that if I do the turning checks once the vehicle still cold I mean just started the engine I believe all fluids are still cold I hear no noise after it gets warm the noise comes. I’ll book a full fluid change soon and let you all know if the noise will be gone.
Hi Josh, I know this vid is a bit older, but how often should one change the diff fluid? Jeep told me it's sufficient to do it after 200,000km / 124,000 mi
Great tutorial. Can't wait to see the next ones. One question for you. I am still looking for a Jeep for my own and just found out the new ones do have electric steering. Is this any better than the normal hydraulic one? Or do you think it's something not to go for?
Josh Share Yeah me too you’ll probably be get a letter from FCA about the carbon fiber trim panels if you haven’t gotten it already. Also the water pump warranty has been extended. Love the vlogs ttyl
Man, I am going crazy. I have a driveline clunk and can't figure it out. I know it's there but the dealer said it's normal. I know it's not. Did you ever have a clunk when coming to a stop and it downshifts it has a shudder/clunk and it is incredibly annoying. You have that on your Jeep?
Can you get me one of them bitchin' hats? Side note, found myself needing to measure the depth of a set of tires recently and there was no gauge to be found...
Also, serious note since I finished the video, I like your editing phrases you plant in the middle here and there and everywhere, the funny quips I can get down with. Three thumbs up.
So when you do burnouts your putting the Jeep at risk of differential damage?? Just asking I have a charger SRT and was thinking of getting the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT next. Thanks for these awesome videos
@@JoshShare I'm 11 I like the cayenne turbo Maserati levante trofeo and jeep trackhawk my mom is going to get a 2017 jeep grand Cherokee srt she had an overland and a summit in the past do you have any advise about an srt
Can anyone help so I did it lol now the thumping sound you said in the vid is happening and I just changed the diff fluid and it’s still happening is that the transfer case or the diff
Hey I know !,let's build these muscle engines with ultra high torque and let's see how drive trains hold up ya! Then they'll put slicks on em LMAO then watch that shit handgrenade, use as ha ha that's why there's aftermarket companys trust me they gotcha covered lmao

Hey does it mean your diff is bad if it makes like a clunking noise when coming to a stop ?
Hey Josh would this help the clunk when pulling off replaced drive shaft motor mounts all Requested by dealer still fill clunk?
Sounds like something is either loose or shifting when the vehicle is accelerating. I’d take it back to the dealer and bring a technician with you on a test drive to show them what your exact concern is.
when should i change oil in differential?every how many k miles?
Kinda jealous you're a Porsche tech, I love working on those kinda of cars (ford tech myself) and glad to know you didn't screw your jeep up

I did a big stupid burn out. Has yours been serviced
I got a 2020 GC SRT with 7500 miles on it. Did one 0-60 with Launch and the diff and transfer case are toast. $9k in repairs. Waiting on warranty approval now
Damn that sucks. I’m glad they’re taking care of it

You mentioned the thumping sound while turning the wheel.... I’m heading that while the wheel is cut hard and reversing... diff damage?
Any issues going on reverse? My jeep srt currently started to make a clunk noise while I reverse while turning 😑
No issues yet knock on wood

Dope! Glad you dodged that bullet man. Looking forward to the next video!!!
thanks for the comment and support!
This looks like my tool box, tools all over and am a body man at a ford dealership and I drive a charger SRT 392.
Hi, when you engage the rear diff motor, should it click like a solinoid?
Do you have to buy the lsd addicive for the back ?
Not if you buy the stuff he had in the video
@Lord Lucan my bad auto spell😂😂
Hi Josh, I know this vid is a bit older, but how often should one change the diff fluid? Jeep told me it's sufficient to do it after 200,000km / 124,000 mi
I just did my front diff @ 107k and it looked new. I feel like it’s cheap enough why not every 50k
Great tutorial. Can't wait to see the next ones.
One question for you. I am still looking for a Jeep for my own and just found out the new ones do have electric steering. Is this any better than the normal hydraulic one? Or do you think it's something not to go for?
i like electric power steering. no fluid, no pump.
Than what was wrong
Gotta love Macan timing covers
you know it! i just started working for Porsche
Josh Share Sweet. Welcome!
Great video great content. Keep up the great work
thanks for the comment buddy!

SRT GC’s and Durango’s have issues with the diff and transfer cases. Especially if you do a lot of 0-60 launches
So do they let you work on your own car at work or was it a lunch break?
after hours
smokeinggta 89 after hours, off the clock, and a repair order that says employee vehicle repair. The repair order is for insurance purposes.
Some organization would help a min looking for a tool trust me saves time in the long run bro
im happy you didnt break your jeep by the way
Thanks! me too lol!
Your toolbox gives me anxiety
that's just the tool cart. and its messy because of that timing chain job i was doing

plot twist...it's a costumer car

Put a Trackhawk differential in there
That requires a trackhawk rear subframe
@@JoshShare it worth doin that

Fuck I hear a thump noise on mine when turning left.

@@victorinob3794 nahh I think the noise was a wheel cover that was loose.
