Well, thanks in part to your videos, I'm now the owner of a 2018 Jeep GC SRT Red with black forged alloys - had 2100 kms on the odo when I collected it from the dealer - car was an ex Demonstrator in as new condition Then had to drive it 1200kms from Mount Gambier, South Australia, back home to Sydney New South Wales I was amazed at the fuel economy - trip average was 10.5 Litres per 100kms (according to the trip computer) which is amazing for a vehicle like this - rode the cruise control for 90% of the journey - speeds for the most part 100 KM/h or 110 KM/h on the Hume Highway All good so far.
What parts exactly did you change? I did the same thing, pulled fuse, did a few burnouts and now theres like grinding/swirling noises coming from the rear when driving, no knocking or anything like that. We live and we learn 😭
Great video. You live and learn from the shit we go through after screwing up. Glad you was able to recognize and fix the issue. Congrats on the new job btw man. Looking forward to the next video
Great job on this one my friend!👍✌🇨🇦! And professional info!,lol no fuse pull (i did not think that would of done such damage! Sorry bud!) it is a long wait for parts, keep well and we are watching your cool vlogs, nice update.!
Looking to get an SRT within 2019 due to your content and some other you tubers. Plus is way more practical than the R8 lol. Still doing some research on differences mechanically on the 15 to 19s so if you have any input let me know.
That Mark on the shaft is just from a seized bearing the left hand side diff bearing is seized so it was frozen in the housing and the axle was turning inside a bearing that wasn't moving. Most likely cause of that is low oil. It looks like that's an electronic controlled if and removing the fuse also removes the control on the clutch pack. So the clutch does not engage and you get one wheel peel, AKA single tire fire. The best thing to do to remedy the situation would be to get a clutch pack from a trackhawk and CV's from the driveshaft shop rated for a thousand foot pounds of torque. Oh yes new bearings and seals goes without saying. There is really no telling how long that bearing was seized, it could have been quite a while. I know it's a year ago but that differential is perfectly fine. New bearings and a clutch and it will be just like new. So the moral to the story is you can only pull the fuse on models without the electronic limited-slip diff
Would you be have any idea how to diagnose if it’s transmission, transfer case or rear differential? My SRT shifts gears smooth, but its clunking when accelerating from a stop. And when you stop sometimes you feel a slight thud, almost like someone bump you from behind. I’d would really appreciate any thought. Thanks.
I've seen other people do burn outs on these without apparently no damage done, does your jeep have road settings and if so on which setting did you have it on? Is this a trackhawk and does that matter?
Maby you can help me, my GC SRT makes some noise when I'm accelerate, it's like a "pop, pop, pop" but only if its warm and not every time. The sound is from the back a friend means it's just the muffler, but I can feel the pop a little bit in the car.
Bro my jeep Srt is in the shop right now getting the cam, lifters engine intake manifold valve springs and spark plugs replaced I might have left a few things out I’ll know more once the part sheet comes in.
so pretty much mopar didnt build the drivetrain to exceed well over what it needs to handle like it should be made. its not a honda accord. its a car with a lot of horsepower therefore it needs to be built to handle it. this should be posted as a weak point for sure.
Why would the SRT have a different differential than any Jeep of the same body style with all-wheel drive? If the difference is stock positraction, it would seem that a Quaiff aftermarket unit would be cheaper when combined with a used unit from a less powered version at the wrecking yard. I am thinking it has a similarity to a rear pumpkin from a Chrysler/Mercedes of some sort that is simply rear wheel drive only. I would sue the axle manufacturer for using sub-standard steel that melts, like,, Warranty it.
i dont know whats the fun in pushing brake and accelerator for burn out .....any way that just my opinion having said so there were many reports on problems in SRT rear diff and transfer case from guys who drive normally
Let me tell you. I wish what I paid was 4k. I have been dealing with an issue in my 2014 since February. It is now October. I have taken it to jeep multiple times. First they told me my rear differential was bad. So I replaced it. Around 3000$. Still was having the same issue. Took it back. Then they told me it was my transfer case. I replaced that. Was another 3000+$. Still had the same issue. I then moved to Georgia. Took it to the dealer. They said it must be the front differential. I replaced that plus both front axles. 3300$. And guess what...my Jeep is still having the same fucking issue!!! I'm about to see if I can seek legal action against Jeep. I have spent over 10000$ to fix one problem that is still not fixed 😡 idk what the fuck to do anymore.
Hahah rough day. That sweet about your new job! Denver is a bad ass city i was there last year. love your channel. check out my shit show trackhawk on my channel

The end was my favorite part, the process 👌🏽
rein redriguez thanks for the input! I was hoping it wasn’t boring

Glad you’re back up and running.

How often do u need to change the oil on da transmission and differential
I guess it's kinda off topic but does anyone know a good place to stream new movies online?
@Huxley Hudson Flixportal xD
@Emerson Jedidiah Thanks, I signed up and it seems like a nice service :D Appreciate it !!
@Huxley Hudson No problem :D
Ok Josh you are my new hero. Looking into buying a SRT8. Watching all your videos. Thank You
thanks for the support!

Good vid, bro. Glad to see it rippin again
Jason Carter thanks!
Do you have the part number for the assembly. Or do you know if I can get the ring and pinion alone?
Congratulations on the new Job 👍🏻
Thanks!
Nice comment 👍

I think I was in track mode but I don’t remember. This was just my experience with doing a burnout
What bolts did you use to remove the diffy

Yooo what about using a zautomotive tazer to do burnouts...IS THAT SAFE?
Good question! I’d have to look into it
would like to know @joshshare
Nice video man. It’s Cayenne and Macan season! 👍🏻
you know it!
Bro my jeep Srt is in the shop right now getting the cam, lifters engine intake manifold valve springs and spark plugs replaced I might have left a few things out I’ll know more once the part sheet comes in.
the lifters and camshaft are common failures, it makes sense
Josh Share Yeah it threw a fault code P0306 Misfire on Cylinder 6 and that lead to changing everything.
Curious to know what that list of parts is gonna run you
GS300 Rich they are still repairing it I’ll know once they call me to pick it up it’s covered under warranty.
Vaughn Williams glad it’s under warranty. Interested to hear what this would cost if not under warranty
Congrats dude
我很喜欢你的SRT,我要是也能拥有一辆这样的车该多好啊!

they completely built the one for the Trackhawk
Good to know. Surprised they didnt for the srt since they've been producing higher hp cars for ever
@@hondamxbmx692 its AWD cant do burnouts unless you want to hurt the powertrain
My Jeep Cherokee Xj has almost 400,000 miles and is just like new.....
What is the model number for the green snap on cart?
its a full size tool box, classic 76 with a power drawer. if you get on the snap on website you can check them out!
Love this video!ty for making it bro 😂💯👏👏👏👏👏
thanks for the support!
New sub here! Wk1 FTW! 😎 I’m in Denver too. I have an 09 wk1 SRT
Nice video 👍 bro
What differential did you run ?
So what was in mysterious box ?
Piki279 the differential
@@JoshShare So my guess was right after seeing a photo! Where's my prize? ;)
Should of upgrade to a trackhawk differential and axles
The Trackhawk diff requires a Trackhawk rear subframe and probably some other things. It has 4 mounting points vs the SRT which has 3
Josh Share just a rear cradle
Good video
shawn mitchell thanks!

I couldn’t imagine doing that to my Jeep.
More videos josh thanks

Hahahahahaha I changed my mind im not pulling the number 77 fuse lol
I don’t suggest it haha

I’m sorry to hear that. What is it doing??
What problem were you having? And did you ever figure it out?
👍✌!
its called driver abuse. Don't abuse if you can't afford the repair.
Did it for science!!!
Hahah rough day. That sweet about your new job! Denver is a bad ass city i was there last year. love your channel. check out my shit show trackhawk on my channel
Why did you not just upgrade to a better diff, dodge is already known to have shitty differentials
too many burnouts lol
dont use
im broken)))))
