    Its important to have a gun with the ceramic valve set up. So much better. And last longer and great for heat. We sell the stainless.
    The stainless overall lasts longer ger then brass.

    The MTM SGS 35 - if I was to incorporate a pump into my mains water supply in my garage (instead of a power washer) what pressure would I have to obtain to allow gun to operate efficiently along with a foam gun? Would it be an option to consider? Like you videos.

    Talking about swiveling, the swiveling only happens where the hose connects right? The end that connects to the wand, foam cannon or nozzle doesn't swivel correct? So if you were to hold the gun sideways (horizontally) with the foam cannon attached would the foam cannon pivot sideways as well or does it swivel and pivot downward due to gravity?

    • @ObsessedGarage
      @ObsessedGarage  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The gun is the valve. When the trigger is released, the pressure is off. The QDs past the outlet of the gun will all swivel when not under pressure.

    I have both. After about 2 months of washing once a week my 28 swivel moves a lot like the mosmatic now. Just my experience with it. Both great guns but the mosmatic is built like a tank where the MTM is built like a hummer.

    Hmmm... my Mosmatic gun's swivel is VERY stiff compared to this one (5:55) mine wont turn with two fingers I have to grab it properly to turn the swivel.
    EDIT: So glad I saw how loose it should be, turns out that the nylon housing was clamped too tight around the swivel, took a little Dremel sander and opened it up a bit, what a difference :-)

    Hi Matt,
    I have a honda powered gas pressure washer. I am constantly having to run back to the unit to turn it off and on for fear of wear on the internals. As I'm sure you know, Mosmatic offers their gun with a weeping option. Do you think this would allow me to leave the unit running during my wash period? If so, would I be able to order this gun through your store? Thanks in advance and thanks for all you do for the car care community.

    I would get the MTM swiveling gun and a nice hose regardless of the pressure washer machine. From my experience, the swiveling gun and premium hose makes the biggest difference when it comes to user enjoyment. The machine also makes a difference, but from a direct contact user experience, the gun and hose are big.

  • @spikeyboy
    @spikeyboy 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    So aside from the guns is there actually any different between the mtm and mosmatic swivel attachment? One works better than the other? Biggest difference I see is that mtm swivel looks a tad smaller.

    • @ObsessedGarage
      @ObsessedGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    • @ObsessedGarage
      @ObsessedGarage  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Suttner and Mosmatic have been in relationship for something like 50 years. Suttner produces the Mosmatic gun to their spec. Then Mosmatic installs their swivel on the inlet to the gun. It's a magical combination. The MTM swivel is junk in comparison. It doesn't make any sense to have an external inferior swivel and the extra bulk that comes with that when you can get the integrated Mosmatic/Suttner combo for 25 bucks more.

    I took your word that the Mosmatic was much better quality and bought 2 guns for our business. After about 5-6 weeks of use the trigger on both guns have failed. When the trigger is not pulled the gun is leaking through the wash tip of the gun. Kyle has told me that he cannot warranty the guns because of our heavy usage but that is why I bought the more expensive gun. Is there a replacement trigger part that I can purchase to repair the guns since I have so much money invested in them and essentially there is no warranty after purchase?

    • @ObsessedGarage
      @ObsessedGarage  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The only way that is happening is if you are dropping them on the ground. I have sold thousands of these guns and have seen may 5 fail due to something other than dropping them. All wear and tear pressure washer items have a 60 day warranty. You'd have to send them back to me to inspect. If they are all jacked up then that's on you.

    • @russelllindley9269
      @russelllindley9269 5 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Thank you for responding. Kyle has all but brushed me off with his last communication.
      I had no way of contacting you except through Kyle. I sent a video to Kyle showing the leak and have not received a response.
      The guns we purchased from you are really great guns except for the fact that they leak. We do not mistreat our equipment. Both guns look as new as the day we started using them so throwing them around is not something we do. We are a small company that has been in business for over 38 years and we take as much pride in our equipment as we do our customers.
      As of Friday, one of the guns has stopped leaking but it has done that before. This problem from our experience will only get worse with usage and with both guns starting to leak in such a short period of time I can only guess that the problem will continue to get worse over the next few weeks. I was hoping to receive a more professional response from a company that claims to sell high quality equipment. In my long years of experience, I’ve learned that even the most reliable of products fail at times but to accuse the customer of abusing the product as the ONLY reason for failure is unreasonable.
