I'm curious what kind of ways you try to reduce your environmental impact! Comment your own tips/tricks so we can learn from each other in the comments :) Personally, I've been trying to buy in bulk more, cooking as much as I can, and using the buynothingproject.org
I feel like i havent been thinking of this stuff as much recently because im at home, but im inspired to make these thoughts part of my daily life again forreal! in my house theres always paper plates/plastic forks available and sometimes i honestly just go for it because it feels inconsequential but im gunna try to stop that because there is always reusable available too!!!
I think this is a really important issue to address. Thank you for showing a visual representation of the problem! Hopefully this will help people realize just how much single-use items can add up. Also, as on OSU student, it frustrates me that the city of Columbus really lacks in their recycling and composing programs.
Agreed! Our culture has made it easy to be "out of sight, out of mind" with it so it's quite shocking to be face-to-face with it. Thanks for watching :)
My university every year organizes a “sustainability festival” where one night is dedicated to a big party with dinner and everything that is not food is made with compostable materials. They want show us that we can be respectful of our planet even when we party.
That is so cool!! I think it's super important to integrate those kinds of lessons into things/activities we already enjoy to show that "sustainability" doesn't have to be intimidating or compromising. Thanks for sharing :)
