    If you go and look at one of their live vids, They actually don't do special affects on their voices.(Or like you said distortion effect) "Happy clown tonight" he really does that with his voice naturally. I don't know all the names of the members yet but they don't use voice changes or whatever you call it. I love this band!!!!

    • @DGReacts
      @DGReacts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +125

      I can definitely believe that, I've heard some unique sounds from metalcore / deathcore vocalists, so this can definitely be achieved naturally!

      @@DGReacts tbh I didn't expect that, maybe cause there are so many artists now that use auto tune over and over and voice effects so much that I don't even know what's real anymore. But def looking forward to more from them. Refreshing to say the least. Thanks for reply, looking forward to more content from you

    Jyp artists are talented. Their songs always have had deep meaning relating to real life. Nowadays Jyp increasingly points out its quality as the next globalized kpop music industry. Xdinary heroes have made me fall in love since their debut. Excited for their next music. Hope they become a great band in the future.

    You're kind of right, from what I've understood from the interviews till now, the song calls out "fakes" not as much as pretending, but empty, since in today's world people automatically maintain relationships just because it's percepted as "normal" to have created those even if you don't actually know why, at the end they turn out to be something you're indifferent towards and with "run for your life" it's call to tear yourself out of this net, "happy death day"/"happy worst day" is symbolic not only for the birthday realization of a life actually not fulfilled while tangled within all this or you actually being closer to deathbed(aka the day yourself that has been comfortable within your social surrounding till today - "birthday clown", dies/realizes) , so you should run to not end up dying as all of them and be able to actually be an individual not a part of a massive robotic mixture. They run and are sick since they're people who've came to a realization they will start being pretentious of who they'll associate with. Behind the "we are all heroes" is even tho you're born in this mass and you're ordinary, it reminds you that when you have individuality you're extraordinary as a controversy.
    As birthday clowns they're supposed to be there for entertainment, but they mock/ironize the situation, because the people who they should entertain aren't better than them, they're just in a theatre and that's sad since they're never out of the play when interacting. A personal opinion of mine is they're the warning carriers, who threaten and the intense parts are exactly supposed to plant the fear/pressure of what's going to happen if you don't come to your senses. Except fun, clowns are outstanding in plain places.

    They make me think of mindless self indulgence with this song. Which is something I never thought I'd say about a kpop song haha and I honestly love it.
    It's funny seeing newer kpop fans being shocked by them. Korea has a HUGE punk scene and has for a long time tbh. It's just finally showing more in the kpop (there are idols and groups who have bsides that are in the genre).
    This is a late comment but if you ever seethis, I'd suggest checking out b.a.p what the hell, b.a.p wake me up... I can think of other 2nd gen. Also you'd probably like Seo Taji as well as triangle by tvxq feat trax, and some h.o.t. (1st gen kpop) songs.

      MSI Vibes, that's an interesting thought that never would've crossed my mind until now! That's actually very cool though MSI are a lot more "out there" in their style and delivery hehe (to put in nice terms hehe, but I used to be such a huge fan of them like 10-12 years back with NWTD & Mastermind and so many other songs)

    Hihhi! Lady with non-functional built-in audio here.... There's a silly curiosity that's been pledging me. I can't for the life of me figure out if that is the kid is actually making those sounds, or if they really are effects.
    I have an implant that allows me to pick up what is basically just a fancy form of vibration. Normally, I can tell by the frequency of the wavelengths, whether or not it's organic or synthetic. I just can't tell on this one, though lol. I don't know why either. That said, you believe it's an effect, yeah?
    I've watched enough of your stuff to feel secure in the notion that you know what you are talking about. 🙃

    • @DGReacts
      @DGReacts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Someone mentioned that he actually does those sounds for real, and I can definitely believe that, I've heard much scarier and unique sounds coming from humans while listening to heavy music (like deathcore, some of the sounds those vocalists can do are absolutely frightening!)

    • @alexandria3852
      @alexandria3852 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      On that, I could not agree more. That's actually one of the reasons I kept questioning whether or not it was him. Despite every reactor or reviewist stating it had to be a mix, edit or effect.
      I couldn't help but think of their older brother group, Stray Kids. You would have to pull their teeth to get them to do a vocal they couldn't pull off without a backing track on stage. I will say this though... It's more unique than people would think. I have never felt that kind of computer like control in a person.
      My implant diagnostics show it as an AI based self correcting computer, but the system couldn't find any embedded trademarks or signatures. So, it determined it to be human in origin. I know that probably makes no sense lol but thank you for helping me settle my own internal debate. After all, even my badass computer isn't flawless.

    Ah I'm glad you reacted to this! I found the MV by pure coincidence about a half hour after it was released and I've been playing it since. It's giving me serious nostalgia to the pop/punk type music I listened to in the 00s when I thought I was edgy. It's such an impressive debut, and I can't wat to see what comes from them in future.

  • @bigparadox9093
    @bigparadox9093 2 ปีที่แล้ว +28

    Pretty strong debut, especially considering they're from JYP(one of big3 kpop companies). And looks like rock sound getting recognition in Korea recently.
    Unfortunately usually krock song living somewhere around rock ballads sound that's why I'm not really fan of most of songs from krock bands(but I haven't listened to all of them ofc).
    Also I'm little bit confused with krock bans structure. for example Xdinary Heroes and Day6(another krock band from same company) have literally 6 vocalist who can play instruments. Usually we have main\lead vocalist and rock band and other members are usually playing instruments, while in Day6 and Xdinary Heroes most of the members literally have vocal lines on verses and chorus.
    If you want more rock bands:
    Rolling Quartz - Blaze (they did some Dreamcatcher covers so pretty popular among Dreamcatcher fans)
    N.Flying - Moonshot (they're waaaaaay better live, but I don't think it make sense to suggest live performance with your type of reaction)
    FTISLAND - Shadows (Japanese release so might be not safe to react to it. Japan love to strike reactors on youtube)
    ONEWE - Rain To Be
    DAY6 - Shoot Me
    I know there are some other bands for example Messgram(alt metal band with female main vocalist and male screaming), Lucy(krock group with violin parts), Diablo(probably one of fathers of metal music on Korea)

    • @Dardove
      @Dardove 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know most of what I have heard in the past from krock (Like Buzz who I'm familiar with through Knowing Brothers) has been more ballad rock which meant I didn't really have much interest in checking out other groups. I will however second the recommendation of Rolling Quartz, who I have listened to before.

    I had to come back and rewatch this a few (actually a lot of) times. This music video combined with your reaction is a total mood booster. No idea why, maybe because of the nostalgic feelings I'm getting from these kinda punk rock vibes or maybe it's because of you. :D The last few weeks have been really stupid and I didn't have a birthday, but something about this song and this video of you particular makes me happy, as stupid as it may sound. So...thank you very much!!!

    I liked the last chorus a lot - it had more energy to it. The meaning behind the song was clever, and your reaction was awesome as always - just not feeling the song though. While the half-steps down in scale with vocals (I think it was, I'm by no means vocally inclined haha) really kept the song engaging, I just feel like there should have been something more to it (especially with how many instruments they were playing). Just my opinion though, nobody come at me! lol
