I'm looking forward to this review! I bought the picture disc album of Ozzy Osbourne's new vinyl/recording! Wow! I listened to it and love his new album! The vinyl store gave me a Ozzy poster when purchasing his new Vinyl! Hope Ozzy gets through his health issues. 💋🎤🎸🎵🥁
I don't hate you for your opinion. I just don't want to put musicians down. I love at least one song from every musician. Musicians go through alot in their life. Many have some issues. It's great to know people are there for them in good and bad times too! Take care. You still rock!💋🎤🎸🎵🥁
Oh yeah, I love rock music! I play guitar and sing rock music. I'm not on Fakebook, oops Facebook but I'm doing my own music. Age doesn't have anything to do with music. Music is for all ages. I listen and play music with younger, same age or older musicians/bands. It's all about the music , not age! We rock!💋🎤🎸🎵🥁
Ozzy's new album/CD and spotify is cool, hot and spot on! I saw Ozzy in an interview and he wants to do his music. Ozzy's new album reflects how he feels at the time! You can't expect Ozzy to do the same kind of a recording everytime. Musicians go through different things in their life and do music based on that. Ozzy felt he needed and wanted to do Ordinary Man album. Ozzy still has music in him and want to express how he feels (good or bad).💋🎤🎸🎵🥁
I totally agree Ralph. I remember being so excited about Ordinary Man. I liked the singles but then I listened to the whole album. And trust me when I say that I wanted to like the album too but it didn't do anything for me at all. It was very disappointing. Ordinary Man... More like Generic, Overproduced, Boring Man. The songs with Post Malone didn't help either.
I haven't listened to it yet .But I must say I trust your verdict on this album .It must really suck bad for you not to like one track off of it .That really sucks because I agree with you the first 2 albums with Randy Rhoads were the best out of his entire solo catouloge. It's a damn shame he isn't going out on top .Scream should have been his last album .
It's obvious that Ozzy's heart just wasn't in these recordings and he should maybe have taken more care over the songs he used, but when Sharon's in charge and needs some more diamonds and furs then the poor sod has no chance but to dance to her tune.
Got to meet him at Amoeba on release date!! He did a signing for the album in LA! Waited in line for 12 hours! Seriously, one of the best days ever to meet him and meet cool ass people while waiting in line. Have yet to give the album an honest listen. /:
I’m sorry you didn’t like this Ozzy album. He is being pushed by this younger generation. Andrew Watt produced this album. I will check out crypt sermon.
Ozzy RULES ! Ozzy with Randy is amazing ! I hope he gets well and I hope he doesn't tour anymore. I like three songs off the new album. Ralph keep up the great videos ! It makes my day when I see you posted a new video !
You're right. I tried to listen to it and I can't even make it through one song all the way through. I'm impressed that you were able to sit through this sad shit so you could accurately review it.
I thought I was the only one, lol. Turn the volume WAY up at the end of ‘Tonight’ (one of Ozzy and Randy’s greatest) and you get to hear Randy’s massive Marshall ferociously trying to fight back. The Stones ‘Sympathy for..,’ is kinda the same btw.
You make some great points in this video. Totally agree about the processed, robotic vocals. It's a shame! BTW - I love The Ultimate Sin and Ozzmosis. That's the cool thing about Ozzy's catalogue, there's some nice variety for everyone. But yeah man, the 'sheep' reference was spot on. Only an idiot would just blindly love every damn track a band puts out. Anyway, good review!
@@almosthuman56 Thanks a bunch, man. I really appreciate that. I want to do a video dedicated to The Eternal Idol sometime soon! It's always nice to meet other Martin era fans. Every era of Sabbath was special (except for 13, lol).
Your viewpoint of the album is pretty spot on (To me at least). It sounds so........ ugh.... is the best way I could describe it. Definitely lacks any type of effort whatsoever, non-metallic and somewhat obnoxious. I'm heavily disappointed with it... :(
I wish I could say "at least Ozzy is putting out one more album" but this music wasn't art from Ozzy. It was just music product to capitalize on the fumes of "Take What You Want" and slap one last release out there to please the suits as fast as possible. Total corporate-friendly name drop album. Bland, heartless songs with Ozzy's voice over them. I'll accept '13' as Ozzy's true farewell. At least an actual band sat and tried to make music on that album. Not just some cut and paste outsider songwriter and producer manufactured mess.
I have been a huge Ozzy Osbourne fan for over thirty years. My oldest sister got me Bark At The Moon on cassette back in 1987. I was nine years old and it changed my life. I love his albums Blizzard Of Ozz all the way up to No Rest For The Wicked big time. To me they are perfect albums. I do love half of No More Tears and Ozzmosis, but I only like very few songs on every studio album that came out after. I have not listened to anything off his newest album because I don't think that I will like anything off it. I will give some songs a listen one day, but not yet. I agree with you that his vocals do not sound good with autotune on his last few albums. I love how amazing his vocals were on his first five or six studio albums. After listening to this video, I might not ever listen to the Ordinary Man album.
Ozzy's discography ends as Ozzmosis for me. One of my favorite singers but I haven't liked his voice much since then. Really wish Sabbath did an album during the late 90's reunion while Ozzy's voice was still coming in hot.
Ralph , i am with you man . Ozzy , Kiss , & Twisted Sister are my 3 all time favorites . But this new album just blows so bad it almost hurts my heart . Not one good song on it . And your right none of his albums after Diary can compare to the 1st 2 albums. Funny thing when you said turn the music up louder as a song is fading out so you can hear Randy as much as possible. I am guilty, I'm one those guys , i was laughing so hard at myself when you said that ,because it's so true of me to do just that !
I did finally listened to it could only get through 3 tracks into it .It was horrible .The worst thing Ozzy has ever done .I did listen to a snippet of Its a Raid a pile of crap is what that is .He should have retired 5 yrs ago.
I know when you buy it you will find good things on it. I liked it, best since Ozzmosis. I will wait for a new review of this album when you bought it next year lol. Take caree
It's sad how all the cool bands and singers we've loved and have been listening to for decades are putting out prefab, commercial, corporate bullshit. Man, things in music aren't like the used to be, it makes me kinda sad. Sometimes artist just need to realize when enough is enough and go out with style rather than a whimper. Although, in this case I agree with you. I think this is more of a project from Sharon rather than Ozzy.
I do like some of it I’m still kinda taking it in I do like straight to hell, ordinary man, and holy tonight but everything else still getting use to it
, you know what brother man I really appreciate your honesty because I love Ozzy more than life itself but to be a true fan you got to be honest with the artist to and if he's slacking off and putting material out that is not good enough for what he's capable of doing then he needs to be told it in an honest way with no disrespect but using these you know a new guitar player for every album and then using Road guys in Uno you don't need to change it if it works people love you for what you are what you represent and what you stand for using Bob daisley for the lyrics and even if he gets stuck wild pack to play a guitar then that's fine but the change in Rhythm Section constantly is frustrating to me bands like Iron Maiden that I've had pretty much the same people in it for their career I really applaud but getting back to Ozzy somebody should have stopped him and it's fine to put this stuff out but if this is going to be your last album then I would bring the best Lyricist and the best musicians in your Rhythm Section to put out an album of quality like Diary of a Madman and Blizzard of Ozz
One wish that I have had for many years was for Ozzy to do at least one more studio album with Jake E Lee, but it will never happen. This is just my opinion , but I think that it would have been very awesome for Ozzy's last studio album and tour to be with Jake E Lee. Jake E Lee's last two studio albums with Red Dragon Cartel in my opinion are very awesome. Jake E Lee in my opinion could have made one more amazing album with Ozzy, but Sharon would never allow it.
Great review. The album to me is a perfect example of A album that was put out just for the sake of putting it out with no effort in the music what so ever. The best thing about it was the guitar work from Andrew watt was cool but his playing on California breed with Glenn Hughes and Jason Bonham was better
I really enjoy this album, but I personally believe it’s far from Ozzy’s best. The only song I honestly can’t stand off the album is “It’s A Raid”. Absolutely loved the review though, despite the contrasting opinion! I couldn’t stop laughing due to your analogies and playing on the lyrics.
I picked the cd up yesterday hoping that I would like it better than what I had heard so far. I can say that I don’t completely hate 2 or 3 songs. None of the songs are good at all though. This has to be his worst album for me except for Under Cover. I fucking hate that one, but this is real close to it.
Eh, I mean I kinda dig most of it. Same with 13, but to each their own. Def agree that Ordinary Man is a bit too sugary and all over the place. Glad we agree on KISS Monster tho lol
On the off chance he tours one more time; would you go see him live knowing he may play 2 or 3 songs off the album. Further challenge: You can' t leave to grab a beer or go to the bathroom.
Can't agree with your opinion of 13 , as I thought the album was really good , but as far as Ozzy's new one goes , well.... It's really not right for me to give my overall opinion since I've never listened to the album in it's entirety , but in all honesty I haven't listened to any Ozzy album in it's entirety in years ... sadly, the guy just doesn't do it for me , anymore & I'm a big Ozzy/Sabbath fan . The songs I have heard from the new album are total shit as far as I'm concerned , and I just can't bear to delve into it any further. Yes, from time to time over the years I've liked, or even loved songs here & there like "Perry Mason" or "I Don't Wanna Stop" , "See You On the Other Side" , but , for me, Ozzy's been mailing it in for years The last album I honestly loved and still enjoy listening too is "No More Tears"... I fell that is one of the last albums Ozzy really put his all into & having Lemmy contribute a lot to the writing is probably a big reason why I feel it's such a great album. Let's put it this way , if I'm in the mood to hear Ozzy , I'm putting on a Sabbath record or one of the first 2 solo albums... I'm not putting on much of his solo stuff , & even though I do like some of the stuff with Jake E. Lee, I don't really revisit it much at all. I think you hit the nail on the head with how Ozzy's voice is so computer generated , as to why I've moved away from Ozzy as a solo artist ... give me the rawness of the Sabbath days or the 1st 2 solo albums , any day .
I mean, I thought some of it was fine. I think It’s A Raid is a fun track and I enjoy the song with Elton John but I nearly checked out completely when Ozzy started singing about making people shit there pants
Right on. Ozzy does not need to do this. He should have stopped making new music many years ago. Everyone loves Ozzy for who he is for his Sabbath years with Randy and Zakk albums. Someone is pushing him to do this.
Almost Human wow I mean kiss is my favorite band and I like crazy nights but I didn’t think the new ozzy album was that bad I mean it’s his worst album but I found some songs enjoyable
I always loved how rock fans believe that any other type of music is shit or is not real just because it's popular, that's makes me laugh so hard everytime
Not a good album. Bland and mediocre with a bunch of big name guest stars to help sell this thing. Straight to Hell is good, Ordinary Man is okay, and Today Is the End I really like, but the rest is bad! Especially It's a Raid. Also, I'm probably the only one who loves the Take What You Want song with Post Malone. It's honestly sad that the best song Ozzy has done in 10 years was a collaboration song... really sad, indeed. Also, Andrew Watt's guitar tone is horrendous on this album. This album is honestly geared towards non-rock fans, casual rock fans or fan-tards. Huge disappointment!
The album is pretty bad. To me sounding too electronic and a complete left turn from what we come to expect from Ozzy. Time to call it a day, he has nothing more to prove, he is a rock legend. It’s time to go out to the pasture.
I liked a few tunes on the new record but I haven't bought an Ozzy record since Bark At The Moon. Ordinary Man is the brainchild of his Producer, Andrew Watt, right?? Blizzard of Ozz was a REAL band, and Randy Rhoads and Bob Daisley were his secret weapons. Those 1st 2 Ozzy solo records are just as good as any Sabbath record to me. Bark At The Moon even had some great tunes. I actually really like Sabbath's last record, "13"! But yeah, the Post Malone song was horrible...not Ozzy or PM's fault but whomever wrote that steaming pile of shit. PREDICTION: THIS WILL BE OZZY's HIGHEST CHARTING RECORD SINCE "NO MORE TEARS".
Dude it is a weak album stop apologizing to the sheep. I really liked Scary Little Green Men if that was on the EP this should have been then I'm in. Did your Vol.4 arrive yet?
lol just played about 1.5 minutes of its a raid holy what a joke love ya ozz but the good DOCTOR is right that album sucks ive only listened to about 3 minutes of it in total lol and no intrest in giving it a chance
This review was the bright side to a sad day in Ozzy's career.
Amen about your point with Randy Rhoads.

PREDICTION:
THIS WILL BE OZZY's HIGHEST CHARTING RECORD SINCE "NO MORE TEARS".
I hate scream, and I didn't like the singles from this album, so I'm in no hurry to listen to it.
Dude it is a weak album stop apologizing to the sheep. I really liked Scary Little Green Men if that was on the EP this should have been then I'm in. Did your Vol.4 arrive yet?
Horrendous Ozzy album, good job Sharon!
The entire album is color by numbers to me. Forced and uninspired.
Talking about sheep... your still going to buy the thing eventually, because you’re an Ozzy fan.
I'm a completest. A sheep already has it
😂👍🏼
Spot on, Doc. I love Ozzy but this is terrible.
lol just played about 1.5 minutes of its a raid holy what a joke love ya ozz but the good DOCTOR is right that album sucks ive only listened to about 3 minutes of it in total lol and no intrest in giving it a chance
Yep, it's horrible. Paint by numbers, filled with every cliché of Ozzy's which makes it very sterile and cringe. Very disappointed with this effort.
lol whats better ordinary man or crazy nights lol both equal amounts of suck lol but if u have to pick one what one ?? lol
Thanks for saving me $25. Lol.
haha. you're welcome :)
How the fuck were you able to listen to the whole album twice? I can't even get through a single song. Complete shitfest.
Three times! ugh
@@almosthuman56 Holy shit, three? Talk about taking a shit bullet to save the rest of us.
@@techydog7854 You got that right
Another thing, his voice sounds VERY artificial.. Yes, you just said it, Pro Tools.
I like this album. You don't. I respect your opinion.
I dunno. I dig it, . Elton John sounds terrible though.
I do know, it sucks
Just another self-pitying typical Ozzy ballad
...and thats just the title track hahaaa
Ok man I like the album I like 10 tracks but I don't like one song which is take what you want that shitt rap song
Damn dude I'm surprised you don"t like 13.
