Why did they build Stone Circles?

Ever wondered what's the purpose of stone circles? Why were they built? How old are stone circles? Questions I'd love to know the answers to. Today I visit my local stone circle for the first time. Hordron Stone Circle in the Peak District National Park.

Superb, Paul. This is what I appreciate about your films. They allow the viewer to have space. The same feeling you get when you walk in the sticks with a mate. Doesn’t have to be full on all the time. It’s an art form as a vlogger I wish more people would develop.

Your vid was a breath of fresh air for me both physically and mentally because it has been at least 105f (40.56c) every day for the past week in my area of Northern California. Luckily the humidity and air quality has been low. My bus pass would go back to 1804-1806, the Lewis and Clark expedition to explore the newly acquired western half of the U.S. which had been bought from the French for a ridiculously low price by President Thomas Jefferson. Only one person died on the entire expedition and that was thought to be appendicitis. Talk about an epic journey!

Years ago my father showed me a picture in a 'boys own annual' from 1918 which showed a 'Vickers Vimy' (a 1st World war bomber) flying over Stonehenge. The caption was "The very old and the very new". That image has always stayed with me and your comments brought it back to me again. Thanks, Paul I think I'd want to go back to Roman Britain (but only as an observer)

Definitely go back in time. I'm really interested in the so called Dark Ages. These stone circles where ancient then but probably understood more than they are now. This is why I love hiking in the hills. It's the sense that your walking in history
