I'd be over the moon if you could please vote for me in The TGO Reader's Awards. Here's the link www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/TGvote22/ I owe you one 🍺🍺. Thank you. Paul & Jo
A lot of youtubers are going ultralight these days. Its nice to see a man who clearly enjoys the luxuries in life and brings a tablecloth. You can't teach class like that!
Ultralight is pointless for hiking a few mile into a fell/peak to camp overnight thats basically car camping with a few miles walk you may aswell enjoy all the comforts. Makes sense when you're living on a trail for 4-6 months and trying to get as many miles in as you can a day.
Great to see you guys doing a joint review, more of those please. And have of course submitted a vote for you Paul, wishing you best of luck. Either way you continue to inspire others and provide superb content (as does Andy).
Roo waistpack. Great video mate, you’re leading the way with the gear. Love my osprey but these atom packs look decent, also the tent. Loved my helm 2, great tent. Voted 👍🏻
Roo Waistpack. Big congratulations on getting nominated for TGO. Those packs look fine, can't justify getting one as there's plenty of life in my 20year old Podsac.
Thank you for so georges fresh vews and warm atmosphere. I use waist pack from deuter, but it become too little for me now. So I have to look some more capacious. Roo waistpack looks suitable. All the best and good luck!
I'll be looking into the Atom pack now as I've used you're recommendations when I was trying to decide what tent I wanted to buy when it was time to get a "proper" tent. I found your video from a few years ago where you spoke about which tent you would have if you could only have 1. I couldn't justify the £700 for the solo but the Helm 1 was perfect and it's been an incredible investment. Since then I've held your opinion very high with regards to gear as I find you are an incredibly honest bloke with the fans best interest at heart. Thanks for all your hard work. Roo Waist pack
well deserved nomination, Paul! your channel and videos are a breath of fresh air (pun intended!), you show that "normal" folk can get out there and have genuine adventures whilst also being honest in that things don't always go to a perfect plan up in the hills! you get my vote, sir.
Roo waist pack looks like a good addition to a regular back pack. Easier to get hold of snacks, hat, gloves, phone sunglasses etc on the move without stopping and taking your pack off. Nice video!
hello ive had my Mo 50 over a year now and its so good the secret is getting the hip belt fit right then the weight transfer is off the shoulders dont forget about the bottom pouch
Congratulations Paul on your nomination 👍 Love watching videos of you two, you seem good friends & have a great chemistry together. Loving the Roo waistpack too, on my wish list.
Hi Paul it would be a great pleasure for voting for you it's simple you make camping, backpacking a pleasure to watch on your TH-cam channel you wouldn't have the number of subscribers if it wasn't for your enthusiasm well done hopefully keep up the good work 😊 👍 😀
I love stoves but take my hat off to ya you love them more . That's without starting on the tents .You have my vote. Keep the videos coming Roo waist pack!
You was the 1st wild camper I watched , learnt how to put up 3x3 ddtarp . In the beginning. Loved , helped me with my adventures over the years thank you 😊 have my vote .
I’m gonna get into hiking. I love camping. The solitude in a cosy tent just feels great. Getting to know yourself. I’m excited about the prospect and I want gear that’ll last and be comfortable and useful. I love this review and other reviews of best camping and hiking gear. even if it’s a sponsored item. You talk with experience and knowledge. I appreciate this. Thanks.
To deal with wet gear and condensation carry a proper Chamois leather cloth. Always have one in my loadouts, it sucks up water and rings out dry enough to pack away with few problems.
The Roo Waist Pack Hi Paul, since I messaged you about going hiking with my dad I’ve managed to convince a few friends to come hiking in the yorkshire dales and they are now hooked! Thanks for the kind words of encouragement. I look forward to looking a bit of a pilock with a fanny pack on but atleast it seems to be mainly foggy whenever I go camping 😂
Roo waist pack would be a great addition to my ever growing kit list. Thanks for giving me the chance to get my hands on one. Loving the great content you keep putting out on TH-cam and good luck for the TGO award you've had my vote.
Roo waist pack. Thanks for that insite and review I'll be saving for a new pack as my osprey after 2 years is suffering holding up but I love the bottle feature I've always thought that would be an amazing option. Now seeing these I know what I'm upgrading to.
Roo waistpack... I really enjoy watching your videos from over here in the states. The weather in many of your videos is quite extreme compared to my camping trips, which makes them all the more interesting. Thanks for sharing!
Why did you guys prep your dinner separately? I ordered a custom Mo50 two days ago with a 12 week production time. Got some light blue, orange and white panels with contrasting red and yellow shock cord. Going to look awesome!! Roo looks great. Couldn't understand what Andy said to say though.
Feeling pretty good when I picked up the fold out table before seeing you with the same. “Almost” now I feel like I’m getting up to speed w my gear. Take care. Luv your videos n your ways of presentation.
Congratulations on the TGO nomination - and good luck. Loved the video - even if the views were misty. Thanks for sharing - Cheers Gotta love the Roo Waist Pack 😁
Another enjoyable video Paul, that looked like a great spot for a camp. That weather looked like typical Peak District conditions but good to see it didn't put either of you off getting out. The Atom pack looked like a great piece of kit. Very roomy and the roo waist pack looks very handy. So much easier to get things out of when out walking then having to constantly take your rucksack off. PS: just voted for you in the TGO awards. Good luck.
Nice review if the pack. The Atom Packs has been on my radar for a while. Started to use a bum bag a couple of years ago when hiking since my pack do not have any pockets on the waist strap. The Roo waistpack looks great with a lot of space for snacks and camera gear.
You got a lovely mention on OutdoorGearReview! He’s a good guy too. I’m glad you know each other and it’s reassuring that content creators support each other in this community. As it should be. It bucks every trend on social media and continues to be a welcome bastion of sanity and kind people.
Thanks for this. Not the biggest fan of tents I can't sit up in but I do like the look of the helm. It's so strange there's 15cm difference (think that's the difference) going from the 2 man to the 1 man, that extra height would move it way up in my eyes.
Roo waist pack. Love that you cook proper food on a tiny alcohol stove rather than just use dehydrated stuff all the time. You got my vote on TGO. Keep making the videos, they’re great 👌
Nicely earned award nomination. I like the atom backpacks but I don’t think I can justify the cost of one at the moment. The Roo pack looks a neat little add on, I’d love to win one 😊
Well done on the nomination. I think you do more than just boil water Paul! From your videos I can see in detail how you use things eg the tent, so there is lots of visual information available to viewers. This helps to inform us about bits of kit, before we commit to buying. Good luck with the TGO nomination and thanks for sharing.
The Roo waistpack looks class. My next backpack will be from Atom Packs, the workmanship and quality is second to none. I have heard so many good things and supporting smaller companies who put so much effort into their products is brilliant. I would love a chance to win one but whoever they go to, I hope will have it for many years and out on plenty adventures along the way. As always Paul, fantastic video. Best of luck in the awards too 👍
Well deserved on the nomination 👍 I’ve been tempted by an Atom for a few months, may have to pull the trigger after Christmas. Roo waist pack looks useful too 👍
A nice little video Paul, you picked some nice weather mind. But that never puts you off from what I can make out, a true outdoor professional. You and Andy have made some good videos for the same walk and its always good to watch both. The Atom packs look like a good choice. So you and Andy say I need to say Atom packs, Roo waist pack.
Roo waist pack, Great video. You have given me some great ideas over the past few years on wild camping. I alway look forward to your next video. I don’t think I will try the plastic cooking table. Good luck in the competition.
Roo waist pack is definitely a thing to consider as it is great for all my bits and bobs that need to be at hand during the hiking. Thank you Paul and Andy 😊
Roo waistpack awesome colab at the end of this video with @Andrew Beavers it was great to see thank you both for teaming up and making these Roo waist packs available for us
ROO WAISTPACK - Paul another great video and i am really enjoying your collaborations with Andy. Well done to you both! PS - Paul i have also submitted a vote for you👍👍

Great campsite with iconic views out towards the Hope Valley. Paul you get my vote every time. Love a chance of owning a Roo Waistpack and if I had the money the Backpack too.
Roo waistpack Voted for you, not because you asked, but because you deserve recognition for both your high quality videos, but more importantly your honesty earlier this year when times got tough. Really hope you win.
Hi Paul, I used the Helm Compact 1 on Monday night at Grisedale Tarn , it tossed it down and blew a Hooley most of the night and the tent was solid as rock and dry. Thanks for recommending it. Roo waist bag looks good.

Roo Waistpack looks brilliant. I've been using a Vango something or other for a couple of years now, and could definitely do with an upgrade! Thank you for making these great videos :) Roo waistpack
I been following you for a long time now. What I really like about you is sharing information. Not like other outdoor youtuber always using the word “My secret location “ which I really hate. You inspired me and I already voted you. Good luck!
Love it when you cook a proper meal makes it look like a holiday and something special. Good honest review again on the backpack. Roo waist pack looks like a handy bit of kit especially for snacks!
Roo waistpack. I am due to leave the army next year after 22 years and i am getting into wild camping thanks for the review i will look into getting one of them cheers paul
Roo Waistpack - I saw your video with the Atom Pack a couple of months ago and managed to save up for it. Just tested it out on a 2 day, 50 mile hike and it was awesome, quite pricey but as you say, it's so comfy and versatile, it can replace a couple of packs so worth it I reckon. Roo Waistpack: those coloured ones are made from the offcuts of other packs, making them zero/low waste. That's a great approach and worth pointing out.
Roo waist backpack. Ciao Paul! Good Luck to you on your TGO award! I really appreciate your approach to getting outside and cooking! I hope you have a Thanksgiving dinner video for next week🙂
I'd be over the moon if you could please vote for me in The TGO Reader's Awards. Here's the link www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/TGvote22/

Already done. Fingers crossed for you!
Easy choice of vote Paul👍🏻
Done and good luck
Done last week, love the videos full of great content and i have learned loads
A lot of youtubers are going ultralight these days. Its nice to see a man who clearly enjoys the luxuries in life and brings a tablecloth. You can't teach class like that!
Yes, I’ve damaged my table surface using exactly the same setup!
Ultralight is pointless for hiking a few mile into a fell/peak to camp overnight thats basically car camping with a few miles walk you may aswell enjoy all the comforts. Makes sense when you're living on a trail for 4-6 months and trying to get as many miles in as you can a day.

Roo waistpack....loving the videos Paul. Keep up the good work
You have mastered the art of eating a full steak dinner laying down 👌

Gotta love the Roo Waist Pack 😁
I will give you a vote. You are good at showing what kit you use, and why. Also, you show great view of the scenery. Usually...when not foggy.
It was a great pleasure to vote for you. Keep doing what you are doing and letting us come along.

Roo waist pack. Cheers Paul. Another great vid. The helm 1 is great. Not let me down once yet. Well done on the nomination as well.
Roo waistpack looks great for keeping bits and bobs. Take care Gill

My Atompack is one of the best things I’ve ever purchased for my wildcamping trips. It’s mint.
Those packs look great, and not silly money, given they are custom made, and i would like the roo waistpack
The Roo waistpack looks class. My next backpack will be from Atom Packs, the workmanship and quality is second to none. Roo waist pack is definitely a thing to consider as it is great for all my bits and bobs that need to be at hand during the hiking. Thank you Paul and Andy 😊
Roo waistpack
awesome colab at the end of this video with @Andrew Beavers it was great to see
thank you both for teaming up and making these Roo waist packs available for us
I have a 60lt Mo and love it , best packs ever . ROO WAIST PACK
ROO WAISTPACK - Paul another great video and i am really enjoying your collaborations with Andy. Well done to you both! PS - Paul i have also submitted a vote for you👍👍
Great video, thanks Paul!
Roo waistpack. Would love an atom pack the look really solid, bit not out enough to warrant buying one. Congrats being nominated for the reward.
RooWaistPack: Great pack, Paul, mrs has one and I’m getting Tom to make one in the new year. Big on the shoulders, he’s willing to make a wider version for me.
Voted as well, certainly deserved! Keep being you, and keep well.
Roo Waist Pack.
👍👍👍 .. a nice share Paul .. thanks.
Pricey Pack perhaps .. but in this instance, one appears to be getting what one pays for. Similar to flying Economy, Business or First Class. One still gets there, but .. differently 😊.
Heat transfer downwards .. have experienced the same 😯 (and learned from it 😏). Using a pot stand / windscreen that results in a tight enclosure .. 'excess' heat has nowhere to go. Good for whatever is being cooked up topside, but often not so on the 'downside' (pun intended 😊). To protect surfaces, I always use a heat / flame resistant carbon cloth as a base. In cases of heat-sensitive surfaces, I add a Silicone Kitchen Mat, specifically cut to size for that particular application. In some cases, a metal dish (sometimes containing water) has been brought into play.
The 'Roo Pack'. Back in the late 70's / 80's, we knew them as 'Butt / Fanny' Packs .. popular at one stage but then fell out of favour, especially when small Urban Packs came to the fore (the fanny pack being seen by some as being a 'sissy' man's handbag 😁).
I got mine 'back then' .. a 'Backpacker' brand 'Spectator Pouch' in a L size. After 40-odd years, still in use. The inside water protection lining has largely flaked off so it serves mainly now to carry my 'scoff' for the outing .. the waist strap coming in particularly handy in hanging said pouch off the ground.
Good luck Paul, with the nomination. You stand against some doughty opposition .. some of whom, I subscribe to. As with any Democratic Vote, the most 'popular' nominee will win and not necessarily the most 'worthy' .. some consolation for the to be also-rans 😏.
Please continue enjoying yourself and sharing it with us .. and yes, treating the Wife after your suffering is a just reward 😊.
Take care .. Tommy
Roo waistpack - great video as always guys, congrats on your nomination Paul!
Great campsite with iconic views out towards the Hope Valley. Paul you get my vote every time. Love a chance of owning a Roo Waistpack and if I had the money the Backpack too.
Roo waistpack
Voted for you, not because you asked, but because you deserve recognition for both your high quality videos, but more importantly your honesty earlier this year when times got tough. Really hope you win.
Roo waist pack. I have the mo in 60l with custom colours. Looking forward to taking it from Ireland to the wind river range in Wyoming next year
Hi Paul, I used the Helm Compact 1 on Monday night at Grisedale Tarn , it tossed it down and blew a Hooley most of the night and the tent was solid as rock and dry. Thanks for recommending it.
Roo waist bag looks good.
Really enjoyed your video. I look forward to doing some hiking as soon as I'm able. I'm still on the mend from surgeries.
I will try to get a vote in for you!
Atompacks look great for the types of hiking, trekking, and camping I see on your channels. I see that with customizations... 60L could be a good option as well. All materials options are spot on. "Roo waistpack" appears to be a nice accessory... tho' I'd like to have seen a bit more demo of you guys wearing it, what you guys put in it, ease of getting stuff in and out, etc.
Roo Waist Pack Great video as always and thanks for the review of the Atom pack. I've voted for you in the TGO awards and best of luck
Thank you for another great video and the review of this great pack. I'd love a Roo waistpack, which, added to my Atom, would be enough to room the gear to stay overnight.
Roo waist pack 👍. Another great video and congratulations or your well deserved nomination.
Roo waistpack. Great to see you and Andrew out on one again! 😊
Roo waistpack looks very handy. love the jazzy colours.
ROO waist pack. Always enjoy your trips together and the different perspectives. But telling when you have kit you both use! You’ve always been unbiased in your opinion which is why I trust it 😎
Congratulations on the TGO nomination Paul, very well deserved! Looks like a great pack, not one for us occasional wild campers but definitely a great bit of kit for you serious folk!
Roo waist pack, what the hell! 🤣
Love the looks of these bags, always wanted to try one. Even though they’re pricey, still work out less than some of the US made ultralight packs after all the duties. Roo waist pack
Roo Waistpack looks brilliant. I've been using a Vango something or other for a couple of years now, and could definitely do with an upgrade! Thank you for making these great videos :) Roo waistpack

Congratulations on the TGO nomination, I'll vote now
Roo Waistpack: those coloured ones are made from the offcuts of other packs, making them zero/low waste. That's a great approach and worth pointing out.
Roo waistpack. Absolutely awesome kit. Thanks for the review, hoping to buy one in New year. 😃
👍👍👍👍Just sat down great timing
Roo waistpack. I have a 35 litre atom pack and agree pole loops would make the pack probably the best out there.
I believe Atom Packs is now using Ecopak EPX200 for the body of the packs, not X-Pac, unless you specifically requested a custom build.
Too Waistpack looks great, and great field trip with the Helm tent. Thanks
Great video as always Paul 👍 Will make sure to vote for you in the Awards.
