As an oboe player and swimmer, it really does help. I mean in swimming you have to hold your breath a lot and that’s kind of what got me into oboe in the first place.
As a swimmer and violinist - you really need to hold your breath to swim, I chose violin to give my lungs a rest and I thought I was too small to play anything bigger 🤣

Heyy, the runner guy is actually from a town near mine in Valencia, Spain.😆 That sort of human tower (“muixeranga”) is typical from that town, and in this region there is a lot of marching band tradition. Whatever someone does, lots of people play an instrument in the local band (every single little village has one), so the oboe, the clarinet or the sax, for instance, are typical from musicians here ☺️
