Tori Amos is the finest female composer of this (or any other) generation..... Happy 50th Birthday Tori 8/22/13... Please never stop making music.... LOVE YOU... THANK YOU FOR THE POST!!!!!! do you have the whole show?
This is a variation of Schubert´s "Andantino" from Piano Sonata D.959. Compare e.g. "Schubert - Piano Sonata in A major, D. 959 Second Movement" on this website.
She has the intensity of a classical pianist, she's really living it! You can see here how she must of been when classically training as a child prodigy. Until by her own admittance, she got herself thrown out of the academy! A very talented lady.
Singers need such an earpiece - or, in smaller venues, speakers on the floor - to properly hear themselves (and the other instruments). Such a monitor does not only have to do with pitch, but also with volume, timing, and the musical blending with other instruments (such as the piano and strings here). Even musicians with perfect pitch like Tori Amos will struggle to sing or play well when they cannot hear well. I think Tori uses an (almost invisible) inner-earpiece regularly at large concerts.
Art form with such classical touch, song is enigmatic and Tori is bewitching.
