Very cool! I was thinking of getting a steamer to make grape juice. Love how easy you make it look to do apple juice. Thanks for sharing, think I'll be drinking more juice from now on...🥰
It depends on the quality you are looking for. I really like Lehman's (www.lehmans.com/product/11-qt-mehu-maija-steam-juicer/) They can be a little spendy but it is a good place to start. Often Amazon has similar items for a little less cost. Sometimes you can even find canners/juicers at second hand stores or yard sales. I try to keep my eyes open for them since I usually know someone who is interested in starting canning but doesn't have the equipment yet.
It has two purposes: kill any bacteria and to keep the jar from breaking. Hot boiling water bath + hot jars + hot juice The temperature differences are usually what break jars.
After you can the juice, store the jars in a cool, dry, dark location. Canned goods are good for 3 years. After that, they can still be used but the nutritional value begins to decrease.
@@WisdomPreserved Because of supply chain issues there's nothing locally, and to buy from amazon I am looking at 300-500 dollars. It's definitely on the wish list.
@@verilyisayuntoyou4329 How sad! Hopefully things normalize again soon. You can still juice by heating your fruit with a small amount of added water to soften it and then straining out all the solid pieces. A food mill is great for this if you have one of those.
Another recipe definitely worth a try! Many thanks for sharing ladies, is very much appreciated 😊👍
Our pleasure!

Juice is one of the easiest things to can. I love having jars of juice lined up in my pantry.
Thank you, I will try that instantly!
Do you have a recommendation on where to get the required pots/ equipment to steam the apples?

Can i put the apple juice straight from the steam juicer directtly into a can and water bath can it?
Yes since it will be more than the temperature needed.
Can you tell me whats the reason for heating the juice?

how to store for long time?

I wish I could get a steam juicer in Australia
Are you sure you can't get it there? Amazon? There must be a way.
