Quite crazy how in only 5 years you've been able to archive so much stuff of this show and show it online for all to see and for others to contribute to.
Seeing the back half of the interior completed to that degree is very emotional. This truck is going to be incredible when it's finished. Great work guys.
My name is Daker, I live in Brazil, I'm a big fan of Knight Rider, congratulations on the work of bringing back to life this important part of the series, a big hug to everyone involved in the project,I admit I cried here.
Huge congratulations to you Joe for the 400th video, saving the semi, its looking incredible and will look awesome when its painted, most of all thank you for keeping the spirit of knight rider alive today, heres to the next 400 episodes
Congrats on 400 episodes! Alot of progress has been made in the past 4 years. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to seeing things get painted and the inside of the trailer getting upgraded.
I have no words...just wow. I am happy for you, Historians, and for us, your followers, because all the dreams are coming true. Amazing work - planning, organising and managing, getting people together , working hard and more. And now - look at this! Awesome. And... you have a lovely dog, Joe, I can´t help saying it.
About the 5th wheel getting stuck. When you pulled forward, it put pressure on the lock bar (or lock jaw.. don't remember which). This is why, after reversing, it was easier, and you were able to pull the tractor away. So excited to see this progress further.
Congrats Joe! It's been a long journey since you guys launched "Full Pursuit To Semi" so many many years ago!! This is the moment we've all been waiting for!
52:20 I agree about repainting the chassis being overkill. If it wa going to just sit in a museum I'd do a full nuts and bolts restoration but I'm guessing this will be driven to shows etc so would be a waste of time to spray the chassis. Also as mentioned i think its good to leave some of the original paint as its part of the history
The "KITT" A.I. is absolutely crazy. KITT was put into a Radio/Cassette player in "Soul Survivor" and now he's in a smartphone! Just do a KARR A.I. for phone and place the two devices oposite eachother and both KITT and KARR can have an "auto generated" conversation! "Oh I see that the inferior proto type cellphone version is here" "KARR! I am a 5G compatible phone and you haven't seen anything yet" You will see this in fans' KIT (pun intended) cars of the Trans Am with this (as opposed to just samples of Daniel's voiced dialogue lifted directly from the show for pure realism!
Fabulous work from everybody involved again. So happy to see it progress like this and another massive thank you to Irving Jenson for what he is doing to help. Amazing stuff.
Well done mate. The work you are doing / organising on this project is phenomenal. From an avid (now 60 year old) watcher of the series I say thank you from the heart.
This video is just loaded with fun..... I really enjoyed it and it's nice to see you guys back at it.. Excited to see the finished product. Wishing you good luck!
Congratulations on your 400th Video! An Achievement. I feel awesome you made so much and have such a great audience and I'm glad I am a member of that audience cheering you on.
Wow, awesome episode! A lot of visible progress was made, GMC and trailer connected after all these years, etc. :) KITT AI sounds amazing, another piece of Knight Rider becoming reality.
After a long time of the fifth wheel not being used with lack of grease and what not, yeah it's going to stick a bit until everything is lubed up and the jaws of the fifth wheel working again. There is a long rod that most truckers use to pull the release lever of the hitch rather than getting between the the wheels of the truck. Oh, and yeah better get those air lines hooked up on the truck and trailer before winter sets in. Plus start driving the truck around to get everything fully warmed up in driving condition. They dont like sitting around not being used and things start sticking again.
Two hours?!?! Jeez! Well this should be fun to watch Anyways, congrats on 400 videos! Can't wait to see the General and trailer reconnected once again!
@@KnightRiderHistoriansOfficial the fact it still amazes me that you managed to find the truck and trailer that was used in the show! One question I do have is are you going to end up painting a truck and trailer like it was in the show?
Thanks to all the workers. We are indebted to you for the care of those treasures. ❤️ I need that KITT LLM right now. It's awesome & I want to use it for everything voice-y in my life. 🤣
I love your videos. I bought some parts that came off one of KITT Knight Rider car. I glad you restarting the Knight Rider truck. Keep up the great work.

You can also create characters or search for them with the search engine built in. The AI does a pretty good job at replicating a character's personality.
Mostly, at least, but sometimes you just bang your head against the wall cause it loves getting things wrong, even though you gave it a detailed run-down of everything important X'D
I’m very curious why you want to paint the steel cross-brace framing in place? Wouldn’t it be so much easier to paint them outside with the round bars and all? I know you must have a good reason for doing it this way though.
Congratulations on 400 videos! What a huge accomplishment. I watch every video and have been an avid KR fan since the mid 80’s. I did have a question, is the cross bracing in the garage section going to really limit how much the car door will open? I know it was going to be tight but with the added width to each side don’t know how much it will restrict access to opening the door.
If you want to know about the semi's braking system check out Twin Sticks Garage. He rebuilt the brakes on his trucks and trailer . Those brakes are made to lock up if there’s no air going to them .
Near the end of the video, you said the backs of those cross braces had been coated with primer. What about the bottom, where it sits on top of the diamond plate? I think you'll have some rust issues if you don't cover all the surfaces. I'm glad to see progress on this project. It's coming along nicely.
Hope you check the back of the trailer for square before the ramp is welded up. That's a big span and it's bound to have moved around a bit through the decades.
So you probably have been asked this question before but I want to ask anyway. Fanhome puts out a KITT car and all you have to do is put it together. It's about 20 some inches long. I think it would go great with your truck. Maybe you should just look at that website and if it is great. If not great. Nice build I can't wait to see it when finished
Congrats on all the Awesome work You and your Crew have Done, and WILL Do... One question about the pad of the new building. Why did it look uneven? To me anyways, it looked like the back corner was higher then the rest of it.
Since we're getting Agent Knight as a Transformer, I'd love to see a Transformer of the Semi using the Laser Prime figure as a base, with the SS86 trailer with a new interior from the show.
It’s really too bad the cross-brace bars were not welded on the same plane as you said. That will create an inaccurate gap between the corrugated wall panels and the crossbar unfortunately.
Looks great either way! Plus that can always be fixed in the future with minimal rework too. By removing the outermost crossbar, and cutting the centre out of the innermost crossbar, this would allow the welder to correct the issue while keeping most of the initial work intact.
It still amazes me that you managed to find both the truck and trailer, and they weren't completely destroyed.
Amazes us too!
@@KnightRiderHistoriansOfficialdidn't you see the show? They are indestructible

That KITT AI voice is mind altering. To a point where it enters into an elaborate explanation of something as you'd expect KITT to do.
What LLM AI is that, and where can I get ahold of it? That's incredible.
Wondering if a TA still fits after installing the crossbracing? Looks like it takes up much needed width inside an already tight space.
Will fit just fine
