    Much as I appreciate and respect these videos we are veering off into the realm of pure fantasy here. The commentator says he raises his hands towards the ceiling so the UK can hold on. This is not a fight situation at all. An attacker will never continue to hold on if his grip is the only thing holding him to the Defender. And if he’s losing his balance or in pain. And this is not about dynamics either nobody throws their full wait at You except in a bar room brawl and a western

      I agree to a degree, but let's change the idea to as if nage was holding a knife. At this point I would not want to let go because then they would pull away and come back into me with stabs. I'm just saying as far as uke goes the purpose of holding on. I'm not saying that what he is doing is effective in this way. I'm 100% for pressure testing and sparring.

      @@iatsd you sound like every stereotype aikidoka. I've been doing it for 9 years. There is nothing wrong with training forms, but that's all they ever do in there videos they need to add some aliveness and chaos to it to show it's application (that's not randori.) There aikido is beautiful and flows well and it should be shown, but they are also black belts and should show more advanced forms of training. If your in highschool and in a math class should I pull out 2nd grade math and teach. The basics are important but not everyone is at that level so it's unfair to everybody else that does this if that's all you do.

    • @willkido9641
      @willkido9641 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@iatsd yeah they don't need to do anything but how do you think there people's opinion is going to change on aikido if we don't change something? You can't do the same thing over and over and expect different results. Think of TV if a show is not doing good they take it off the air. If it's doing great than people like it and will want to see more of it, so it will get more seasons. This is a form of Media TH-cam and for it to do good it has to show what people want to see and take criticism to then decide what to do with it weather it be ignored or not.

    • @FreeSalesTips
      @FreeSalesTips 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@willkido9641 The idea of "aliveness" within aikido is meaningless. An aikido tori should have no improvement in performance when the uke is trying to be "more alive" or "less alive". The reason is that aikido tori are supposed to conform to the energy of uke in every situation. Increasing the aliveness will not improve tori's skill in conforming to uke's energy.

    • @yoshimitsu72
      @yoshimitsu72 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nice move but why? Why he move his arm in up direction to invite uke? Why uke grabs the tori’s hand even it is in the rear of his body? Non sense, useless movements

    • @yoshimitsu72
      @yoshimitsu72 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Tai Chi Tube the approach is wrong. If you lift your arm in front of me, probably I’ll grab your wrist and I’ll remain in front of you (katate dori or morote dori). If you want I grab your both wrists from behind, you have to show the back hand to invited me to move in that specific movement.
      If your both hands remain in front of you, I’ll grab them just in front of you. Clear?

    • @yoshimitsu72
      @yoshimitsu72 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Tai Chi Tube ‘it is a training’. I know it is a training and for this reason it is wrong to train in wrong manner. I can see the same movement in a lot of sensei of hombu dojo. I can see also to practice iriminage in wrong manner, different from O’sensei. Can we change aikido of the founder? I don’t think so.

    First they touch their hands . Then , when the leader bends down , the other instead of immediately changing his position , withdrew from holding or simply bite the throat or ear - "goes with the flow". One think it is Not. It is not a fight. Frankly , I don't know what it is - maybe it's to show how to fall when stumbled.

    I can’t understand.... why uke should go on the tori’s back side to grab his hand? What is the reason?

    • @FreeSalesTips
      @FreeSalesTips 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a form of restraint. It's very common when there are multiple assailants and one approaches from behind to restrain the victim ensuring the victim will get hurt.

    • @yoshimitsu72
      @yoshimitsu72 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is not the point. The point is: if tori put his wrist up and the other wrist in the opposite side, uke shouldn’t goes to back side. I could strike the belly of tori, while he watching to other side.

    • @FreeSalesTips
      @FreeSalesTips 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@yoshimitsu72 You can definitely do that, but then it would defeat the purpose of training that one specific technique. The training goal in this video isn't various techniques, it is all about two handed wrist restraint from behind.

      All fights are always about the use of strong energy. The meaning of aikido is about harmony with the aggressor's own energy.
