Some points: 1. Probably one of the best Bond soundtracks ever including the gorgeous We Have All the Time in the World 2. The most impressive setting ever. 3. Best Blofeld characterisation yet 4. The most genuinely emotionally engaging scene , at this point in the canon, to be witnessed with the death of his wife. The acting is top-notch 5. Diana Rigg - seriously you could not do better 6. Aside from the Aussie accent (probably because I am an Australian) we have an excellent Bond with genuine humour and empathy 7. The score is so great they reprised parts of it in No Time to Die 8. Elements of other Bond films tend to blend in across the movies but this one always remains a unique inclusion Now that I know the author's first and fourth favourite Bond movies. These video compilations are very impressive and I would love to know your top 5 picks overall.

On Her Majesty’s Secret Service is one of my favorite Bond movies ever. I thought he perfomed well, though not the best actor for sure but somehow it made the movie feel a bit more authentic.
You used Hans Zimmer music… I think I get it. Not only is he scoring No Time To Die, but he’s a frequent collaborator with Christopher Nolan, whose favourite Bond movie is this!! Masterstroke.
The hotel room fight scene is top notch. The music is second only to You Only Live Twice. Diana Rigg. Had Lazenby done four more Bond movies we would rank him Connery 2.0.
OHMSS was the absolute pinnacle of Bond and the total package. Lazenby was Bond, he didn’t need to act to play him. Everything else up until Skyfall was a mockery of Fleming’s character.

Although, as you said, if you can just go along with it, accept it for what it is, early 2000’s action-packed fun - it’s a Helluva good time. A real turn your brain off kind of 007 movie… I’m all for it!

To this day, that Aston Martin V12 Vanquish is still my dream car lol. Plus, to me it isn’t even the worst Bond movie. I have a lot less fun watching Diamonds are forever, Moonraker (which copied Star Wars), Quantum of Solace (copied Jason Bourne), and a few other films as well.

If Brosnan had two top 10 Bond movies like Craig, he would be ranked over Craig in a heartbeat. And in my opinion Craig feels more like Jason Bourne than Bond at times. But opinions vary and I respect others that praise him.
THAT. WAS. AWESOME!!! Loved it!!! SO cool! OMHSS was always one of those "so-so" movies to me when I was younger (born in '71) but as I grow older it's a gorgeous window into a world I wish I could go back to... not the most energetic or action-packed Bond films, not the best actor to play the part, but certainly one of the most beautifully filmed and one of the most character-driven and introspective of the Bond films, and plenty of action and adventure to go around, and a genuine love story. The demarcation between Bond's personal life and professional life, and the decisions he must make with respect to his loyalties and devotion both to duty and country and to his friends and fiancee... they make this one of the more "real" Bond films. People get too tied up in the "Lazenby was a poor performer as Bond" and other things like some of the production decisions which one can agree or disagree with or which didn't age well (like the overcranking of the camera in the fight scenes to "speed them up" and stuff like that, certain aspects of the music, etc) but this movie AS A WHOLE is beautiful-- the scenery and settings are impeccable, and the actual tenets and points of the story are really timeless and very deep for a spy/action/adventure film like the Bond series... and the ending is absolutely touching and shocking. As I get older, I've come to realize this is actually one of if not THE best Bond films ever made... and it's a pity Lazenby didn't get another shot at being Bond, because he showed real promise.

Yo that opening gunbarrel was so awesome! In the movie it has that weird treadmill effect and the blood makes Bond dissapear entirely.

Imagine if he stayed for seven movies and Dalton took over in '83.
He would of been at Sean Connery level.
They could remake it and change the ending

One of the most ill-advised calls an agent’s ever made… Love that Roger Moore took over, but would’ve liked for Lazenby to’ve returned in Diamonds Are Forever (1971) at least…

Dianna Rigg was awesome. Telly was awesome!! George had the physical qualities of James Bond but not the charm or charisma.
Its a shame Connery didn't star in this one. It would have been the best one of them all.

LAZENBY es horrible para ese papel, vestido así parece marioneta de feria. aparte no tiene rostro de 007. NO, no entra esta película para mí en la saga de 007. Horrible.
